Life at DCRUST

I chose this course because architects are the people who design such spaces in which a person spends most of the time of their day. Be it an institution, be it an office, or even a home. We must make those spaces as user-friendly and comfortable as we can. Three permanent faculty is about 15-20 and students intake 80 (so 40 students per section). The teachers are well qualified but still, the teaching methods lack somewhere. The term exams are often on time.

The total tuition fee is approx. 2.3L . It's actually very cheap according to other colleges and universities. The top 10 students are provided with a scholarship every semester. But unfortunately, in architecture, no college provides placement offers for internships or jobs.

Life at the campus is great. There is an annual fest called rhythm. Also, many other fests like Technova take place annually. Except for this, small events take place every month or 2 months. The library and reading room is the best building on campus. Mostly all required books are available. There is a basketball court which is well maintained. Also, there are many societies and groups for music dance art and many more.

Hostel rooms for girls are spacious but not well maintained. Rooms have a bed, table, and chair for each girl. All the rooms are in 3 or 4 sharing. The washrooms are cleaned daily but still, it's a struggle to use them. The food and meal are just acceptable. Not very great. Weekly the menu is repeated. Registration for a hostel is a very simple online process. Hostels are affordable because it's just 16000 per year ( excluding food).

The admission process was quite simple. You can take admission in Architecture from any of the entrance exams ie. JEE Mains or NATA ( whichever you feel like you've scored better in). Application forms, fees, and dates can easily be checked from the online official website. First, you have to apply on the HSTES site ie. a site of colleges of Haryana. There you can choose colleges to preference-wise. Then an all-over India list is released and you can find your rank there. After that, you can apply to your desired college. Now, it's very easy for a person from Haryana to get admission to this college by showing their Haryana domicile.
