Course Curriculum Overview
The course has a particular emphasis on the international aspects of business. I chose this course to gain insight into the best international management practices. A very healthy faculty: student ratio.
Internships Opportunities
There are internship opportunities under multiple domains with sufficient opportunities for all the candidates to grab a good offer. The average stipend is to the north of 200,000 for two months following which we submit a comprehensive report documenting our learnings which is a compulsory course.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are very strong at IIFT with the summer placements starting around September for the junior batch and around November for the senior batch. There is a 100% placement for all the candidates.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee is around 20 lakhs for two years of the residential program, which must be paid in tranches on a trimester basis. There are scholarship opportunities available for minorities and other segments of society.
Campus Life
There are multiple clubs, cells, and committees for all sorts of activities. They organize regular events and cultural events which make life on the campus vibrant. The library with all the national dailies is open 24*7 along with a Gym.
Hostel Facilities
There are single occupancy rooms for all the male candidates and sharing ones for the girls. The hostel life is very vibrant with the folks playing late into nights and the mess is also a hygienic one with ample time and space for all the residents to eat together.
Admission
The admission process was fair and transparent with ample opportunities to establish my candidature. Application forms can be availed through the official website which is smooth to navigate. There is a separate entrance test called the IIFT entrance exam followed by an extempore and personal interview.
Interview Experience
I went through an extempore and a personal interview both of which happen simultaneously. I went through all the hot topics of the time and then prepared my opinion around them which made it a smooth ride for me.
