An insider's look at NITIE

The curriculum has been recently revised and updated as per the latest and upcoming topics. The faculties at NITIE are highly qualified and experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds, including academia and industry. A mid-term exam and an end-term exam are conducted which is moderately to a little difficult if you want to score good marks.

Every student studying at NITIE is placed in a decent company with a decent package. The placement committee works relentlessly to bring the best companies. The college is famous for operations and supply chain but there are plenty of roles in IT as well.

The fee for 2 years PGDIM program is approximately 14L. The ROI for an MBA student, as compared to some of the top IIMs is high. Scholarship and financial aid are provided to EWS category students and category students.

The hostel is allotted on a double sharing basis and is sufficiently spacious for 2 people. The library is huge and contains all the necessary newspapers and magazines not only in English but also in local languages. The sports facility is moderate, with no indoor stadium and swimming pool like some other IIMs.

The rooms are sufficiently large for 2 people with a table, chair, separate wardrobes, and most importantly separate LAN connections with an average speed of 150+ Mbps. The food quality in the mess is also decent. The menu is fixed but certain items can be ordered separately.

The process starts with registration for the course (PGDIM) on the website. Any engineer with more than 60% in 10th, 12th, and graduation is eligible to apply. Information regarding application fees, dates, and forms are all available on the website. The reservation is given based on government regulations, and the relevant information is available on the admission portal. The portal is basic and easy to use.

After shortlisting candidates, personal interviews are conducted by the faculties. To prepare for the interview, one must be able to answer basic interview questions like why NITIE and questions on your profile.
