Course Curriculum Overview

4

AACSB worldwide accredited IIFT, and as a result, it has a significant concentration on international business. While IIFT offers outstanding academics and specialized courses in international business, other IIMs offer general courses. For one trimester, there are 1:40 faculty members for every 100 students at IIFT. Faculty members work closely with the commerce ministry to provide feedback for WTO and FTA. The main emphasis in faculties is on student participation. Assignments are given following third grade. Exam components having a weight of 30:30:40 are quizzes, midterms, and finals. Exam performance is improved by attendance and note-taking habits. Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 1000000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4

With a stipend of Rs 1 lakh, I'm accepting an internship with SKF India in the sales and marketing departments. Additionally, there are other areas to investigate, such as product management, finance, general management, consulting, commerce, and operations. As they receive shortlists from sales and marketing departments and other businesses looking for work ex individuals, the ideal work ex to receive a shortlist is two years. The organizational culture that seniors help in still is beneficial for landing a successful internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

In addition to PPO, students have the opportunity to be placed starting in the fifth trimester. The following companies visit the campus: Microsoft, Dabur, JP Morgan Chase and Company, Flipkart, ITC, HUL, HSBC, CITI Bank, Goldman Sachs, Mckinsey, and DE Shaw. There were 200 hires. Tolaram offers a package with an average value of Rs. 21 lakhs and a maximum value of Rs. 80 lakhs. The available profiles include those in finance, sales and marketing, consulting, global business, information technology, analytics, and trade. Following graduation, I want to work for a reputable consulting company like Mckinsey, Ernst & Young, or Optum.

Fees and Financial Aid

About 23.5 lakhs were spent overall at IIFT during a two-year period including medical insurance, IMF, stationary, and logistics at Kolkata. In comparison to other IIMs, there are lower fees. The central government offers scholarships to minorities through Nai Manzil and Roshni programs, and the state of West Bengal offers scholarships to students who are residents of their state through the Sarvuthaan portal. SC and ST pay prorated fees. 80 lakh placements are possible with an investment of 23.5 lakhs. Since I am a candidate for the GEN program, I took out a student loan, and IIFT paid the interest for two years. I received a two-month, one-lakh rupee stipend summer internship at the Noida-based sales and marketing firm SKF India.

Campus Life

4

Vivaan, a techno-management event, draws 3000 visitors to IIFT in October. Twenty business leaders, fifteen academics, and thirty IIFT alumni openly describe their experiences in Vivaan. Through a library card, you get 30 days to access books and research papers. Faculty members even wrote some books. Twelve huge classrooms each have 52 wooden chairs, one desktop, one live projector, and one microphone and speaker. There are yoga classes, gyms, and an Olympia committee. The club's Instagram accounts that are maintained by students are Socrates, Product Cell, Blash, Equity research cell, Entrepreneur cell, Capital, Brandwagon, Scope, Public policy cell, Renaissance, and Pixcell. A 24-hour gym is offered by the fitness center, and Olympia hosts sectional competitions during the games.

Hostel Facilities

4

Each wing of the hostel offers a private bathroom and a common area with a table for table tennis and a carrom board as well as a television to watch the World Cup and FIFA matches. The single rooms are supplied with a bed, a desk, an armoire, a balcony, a study table, and a rack. Girls and boys can eat together on the first floor in the mess. Other inexpensive amenities include Nescafe and laundry facilities. INR 65,000 a year is the hostel fee.

Admission

IIFT 2022 was the exam I took. Only online applications can be submitted. There was a 2500 rupee application form fee. a Bachelor's degree that must have been earned in at least three years and be graded at least 50%. It happened on December 5, 2021. The cut-off was approximately 20% with a 95 percentile or higher with score of 98 for each section. Technical issues with the software led the exam to be redone in about 25 places, which presented students with preparation issues because they also had to take additional exams. To avoid these situations, exams can be administered using high-quality, user-friendly software and can include mock IIFT exams. NTA's autonomous body is in charge of managing this.

Interview Experience

3.5

The only scheduled interviews were an extempore and a personal one. During extempore, you had one minute to think about the topic before delivering it; the PI came next. PI took an additional 15 minutes. I prepared for my PI by reading the daily Livemint and watching videos on YouTube that discussed current events, economic concepts, global relations, geopolitics, etc. with the study IQ channel. I also used transcripts from previous candidates. Before a personal interview, it is important to review geopolitical and international relations topics. Extempore practice in a mirror requires complete confidence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.
