Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for Electrical Engineering(EE) course, earlier it was Electrical and Electronics Engineering(EEE). The faculty is well qualified and in this department, the workload is quite less, so you get ample amount of time for self-study or study for placement.

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies that visited this year for internships and are still visiting. Some Major companies are:- AMAZON (1.1lakh stipend). Intuit (80k stipend). Salesforce is only for girls (1.25 lakh stipend). Atlassian (1.3 lakh stipend). And many more.

Placement Experience

Placement is decent here, companies from different sectors visit here. Technical, Consultancy, Analytics, as well as core companies, visit here. Placement is close to 100% but the average package depends upon the branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is:- Tuition fee:- 62500 Other fees:- 25500(including hostel fees). Mess fees:-18000 Total :- 106000 per sem. There is a full fee waiver for ST/SC students. (Rs 62500). For other students, if the family income is less than 1 lakh full tuition fee will be remitted. If the family income is between 1-5lakh then a 2/3rd Tuition fee will be remitted. Besides these benefits, you can apply for government or private scholarships whichever is applicable.

Campus Life

There are plenty of Technical and cultural clubs which you can find at NIT Jsr. Some of them are:- PCON( programming Club). Literature and Debating Society (LDS). Quinite (Quizzing Club). Awahan (Drama club). Rooh( Singing club). And many more. There are many fests which happen at college as well branch level.

Hostel Facilities

A hostel is necessary for B.tech students. For 1st year boys you will have two students in a room. For the 2nd year onwards you will get a single room. For girls, 2-3 girls will be there in each room. The newly built hostel is good but the old Hostel requires renovation.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

To take admission to NIT Jamshedpur, you have to appear for JEE mains exams. During the appearing year of class 12th, you can take this exam which is conducted by NTA(National testing agency). After the declaration of results you will be eligible for counselling which is conducted by JOSAA, with the help of JEE mains result in you can take admission to NITs, and CFTIs, and you will get college according to the marks obtained. There are reservations for OBC, ST/SC, and PWD. There is also a reservation for girls and a home state Qota for NITs.

AFFORDABLE EDUCATION WITH SCOPE FOR GROWTH

Placement Experience:

after 7 th semester we are eligible for placement a very companies come here to visit cause earlier some of companies comes here but they don't get quality student so they just stop to coming here however for palcement top candidates are selected and sent to tecno india kolkata as this college is managed by tecno india group where after interview they got placement so if you have good knowledge and coding skills may be you got a interview call some companies like acceture and wipro comes here the ece branch and cse branch got some placements. i don't know the exact numbers but in last year around 25 offers was made among which the most paying was 9 lacs per annum secured by a senior name harsh dwivedi from cse branch here's the profile linkedin. com/in/harsh-dwive di-208b00228/. most of the students from opt for higher studies or psus through GATE and my objective is also same opting for M.TECH.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
