My memories and qualms at IIFT

I chose this course to gain overall knowledge of Internation business and its allied sectors. Some faculties are good and some are simply low on energy. there is a shortage of faculty and very often guest lecturers are called in various courses. Almost all the faculties are Ph.D. and most of them have experiences in the corporate world. Exams are held on time and the faculties are strict regarding them. some subjects can be passed by just going through the books once, but most of them require studying beforehand.

Unfortunately, I cannot disclose placement statistics so I am unable to answer this particular question of yours over here. However, the highest package for summers is 4 lakhs with the average being 2.6 lakhs

Campus placements occur in 2nd year. Unfortunately, we cannot disclose our placement statistics. the highest package is 80 lakhs and an average of 25 lakhs this year. our college guarantees 100% placements and I haven't found anyone who isn't placed as of yet. I will work in the corporate sector for a while before starting my start-up.

The fee charged is about 20 lakhs for 2 years, which I feel is more than IIFT offers. The infrastructure is lacking proper sports facilities and now and then there is a shortage of classrooms. The campus website is filled with bugs as well and issues regarding hostels arise now and then. I have not applied for any of the scholarships.

Our biggest event is the Grand Alumni Reunion which is held in December. Our cultural fest is named quo vadis which is conducted in February and is pretty huge too. The library has Bloomberg, books, databases, etc. and there's nothing that it lacks. Classrooms are a bit small but are equipped with all the smart instruments. however, some of them don't work from time to time. the campus lacks sports infrastructure, but we make the most out of the infra already present.

In our rooms, we have beds, a fan, a blower in winter, a table, chairs, a kitchen, a mattress, a bucket, a cupboard, etc. meal quality is good and the menu is selected by the students so food doesn't leave much to be desired. Hostels are registered and provided by the college itself.

I gave the IIFT entrance exam which could be filled by anyone holding a bachelor's degree. The application fee was 2500 for the general and obc categories which were available on IIFT's website. Belonging to the OBC category, I availed myself of the benefits of reservation in seats. Apart from this, there were no other benefits. The result was delayed a lot, and the process was uncertain without any proper ex[plantains of timelines followed. I would have preferred the authorities to be more punctual and planned in their approach.

I only faced an interview that comprised an extempore speech as well. I was asked to speak on pollution and post that it went on like a stress interview. There is an entrance exam and a personal interview. I gave mock interviews and TIME prepared me for the entrance exam.
