Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because of the growing IT sector. It is considered one of the important subjects in the IT sector. We can learn MS excel very easily if we complete the syllabus of this course. Statistics is nothing but just a branch of science that deals with data collection, Data analysis, and data representation. There are 60 students in our class under 1 professor. There are only 60 seats for Statistics at AMU. Faculty members are highly qualified. They have done courses like M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Statistics. Even some are internationally famous. They also publish research papers and their book from time to time. Exams happen timely, you will be notified one week before exams. If you follow the notes of faculty members then it is quite easy to pass the exams.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement of AMU is average. Aligarh is not a big city like Delhi also there is no airport in Aligarh. (Now started but not fully operational)., That's why the placement of AMU is not good as the universities of Delhi and other universities in big cities. A student is eligible for placement in the final year of a bachelor's. Many companies visited our campus like Amazon, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, Oracle, Byjus, HDFC bank, Lootah, etc. Amazon offered 16 LPA to a B.A. (Foreign language) guy. HDFC bank-Offered 3.5 LPA to B. Sc Statistics students The average package of AMU is 3.5 LPA Most of the students get placement offers in master's courses. The placement of some courses is very good like MCA, MBA, etc. 90% of students of MCA got placed in different sectors. In bachelor's, most of the job offer comes from sales-based companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee policy of AMU is quite good. My course fee was only 9475 Rs in the first year. And In 2nd year, I paid 6645 Rs. You will be charged more in 1st year because it includes many charges like a development fee, Maintenance fee, Sherwani(a type of uniform) fee, etc. But in the 2nd year, you have to pay less. You can apply for scholarships like NSP, UP state government scholarships, etc. AMU alumni are also very kind they also provide scholarships to students. An NGO named Sultan Jahan manages all the scholarships of AMU alumni Associations. You can apply to Sultan Jahan for Scholarship. There is also the facility for merit scholarships on our campus. For which you have to pass a test which is being conducted by the department of your chosen course.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at AMU feels like heaven. AMU is known for its unique tahzeeb(traditions). That's why it is also known as Idara e tahzeeb. In terms of fest AMU lacks behind the other university. The Cultural Education club conducts all the annual and monthly fests. There is Asia's largest library in AMU which is the Maulana Azad library. Lakhs of books are available in this library. Every classroom at AMU is equipped with a projector. Some classrooms also have AC. Drama Club, Debating club, Riding club, and Hockey Club are some club which is being run by the students, for the students

Hostel Facilities

2.5

It is not easy to get a hostel at AMU. It also depends on your course. If you are from engineering, law, and medical courses then it is easy to get a hostel. If you are a girl then it is easy to get a hostel in any course. If you are a boy and you are not from Engineering, Law and Medical courses then it is quite difficult to get a hostel in the first year but there is a high chance of getting a hostel in 2nd year. Most of the rooms of the Hostels of AMU are 3/4 seater. You will get free electricity in the hostel room. You will get a bed and a Table and a chair. Geysers are also available in the bathroom. You can eat in the dining hall even if your allotment of the hostel is not done. The quality of the meal is average. You will be charged Rs 1400-2000(1400 fixed+variable) monthly for dining. You have to fill in a separate form/file for getting a room in the hostel. At the time of admission, you will get a Hall(a complex of many hostels). You have to fill out a form in the provost's office of the assigned Hall.

Admission

Eligibility-10+2 with a minimum of 55%. And should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics. The age should not be more than 21 years. Application form-You can fill out the application form on AMU's official website amucontrollerexams.com Application fees and Application dates are also available on the website amucontrollerexams.com. They delay in declaring the results of entrance examinations. Sometimes it takes 2-3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to me you should choose Brahmanand College but as I wanted more practicals then theory work but it is not like that here because you get more time to study and practicals were less .Exams' timings were sometimes morning, afternoon so you will have to manage yourself accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd rate the curriculum 4/5. Topics like programing and data structures are super relevant.it prepares us for tech roles, but could include more hands on projects and industry tools. More focus on emerging tech like Ai /ML would be awesome. Exams are semester wise and okay.areas for improvement: internships, coding challenges, and guest lectures from pros. Solid foundation overall !

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the faculty teachers and all the staff was very good and the faculty teachers of the science were very fabulous in education causes me to choose this course... The curriculum here was in terms of social interaction was ok but it was not that good for the future real world academic pursuits as their were not that much activities for the social appearance... In terms of course curriculum and teaching method this college doesn't need much improvements because it is much better according to teaching method , as the teachers were good in terms of teaching... The timing and frequency was having much gap between one semester exam and the other semester exam , so there were not much difficulty in giving exams according to my perspective...
