Remarks

I was ranked 4424 in Emcet exam conducted in Andhra Pradesh and then applied for counseling with a particular set of colleges including GMR Institute of Technology, Rajam. The cut-off rank for CSE general category is 10,000 and I was awarded a laptop for the lowest rank in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course and the curriculum are good with the timings of 9 am to 5 pm or 4 pm with a break in between. The faculty without fail attend the classes with and with good teaching skills classes are thought. The exams are really good and also strict.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are not so good as there is a compulsory internship program by the government so the internship happens in the last semester which is the 8th semester. The companies that reach out for internships are also not up to the mark.

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty good, the placement drive starts from 3rd year i.e., from 6th semester and the companies visiting the college are good in a number. The companies visit are also good. Comapnies like Wipro, Infosys, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is somewhat reasonable by the change in time the fee structure is also changing. There are many scholarship options available and the college also encouraged us to apply for the relevant ones.

Campus Life

Life on the campus is pretty good with a number of clubs growing with an increase in the number of new students there are also events conducted weekly, monthly, half-yearly, and annually. It is a better platform to explore ourselves.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

Placement Experience:

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.
