Remarks

The admission process was quite smooth and easy. The eligibility criteria for getting through the admission process are: a) CAT score - generally the cut-off is 75%ile but it drops down depending upon the overall CAT difficulty level and score. b) 10th, 12th, and graduation scores are a must. The percentage has to be 60% and above. c) There was no GD conducted. It was a direct PI round for every shortlisted candidate which was conducted by professors of the institute. The application form, the entire fee structure, and the updated application dates notice are available on the college's official website. Improvement - The admission process should have involvement of the admission committee and students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reason behind choosing this particular course is that apart from the MUST subjects of a PGDM program it is also updated with the current trends in the field of education with inclusions of subjects such as Management Science Models and Business Analytics. Another reason for choosing this course is that it offers dual specialization. Our batch strength is 189 divided into 3 sections of 63 students in each section. They are overall 16 faculties and each section is run under 7 to 8 of these faculties. Every faculty is highly qualified and excels in teaching. the methods of teaching are quite student-oriented. It involves a lot of activities apart from presentations, quizzes for each subject, and exams. The term 1 exam was on time and the difficulty level was moderate. The 2nd mid-term exam had to be rescheduled and run a week late because of the summer placements process. But it was smoothly conducted as well and the difficulty level was a bit higher compared to term 1 exams.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The companies that visited us this year for internships are: 1) Gati KWE - Supply Chain - 18000 per month 2) Shriram - BDA - 10000 per month 3) Gartner - Account management intern - 75000 per month 4) ICICI Bank - Summer intern - 40000 per month 5) Aditya Birla Captial - Summer Intern - 80000 per month 6) Phoenix Compliance - Data Research Intern - 15000 per month 7) CUR8 - SEO intern - 10000 to 20000 per month 8) Royal Brothers - Marketing and HR - 15000 per month 9) Sea6 Energy - Sales and marketing - 50000 per month 10) Spencer - Branding Strategy - 10000 per month 11) MobyInk - Digital marketing - 10000 per month 12) Havells - Sales and marketing - 25000 per month The basic process that almost every company followed are the aptitude test followed by a GD round where the topic used to be related to the domain the students are interviewing for and this was followed by the PI round.

Placement Experience

4.5

Yes, the campus holds the record of 100% campus placement. The students become eligible from the 5th semester onwards to appear for final placements. There were 50 companies who visited for the batch 2020-22 which increases every year by around 30-40 %. Some of the major recruiters are Aditya Birla Capital, PwC, Cognizant, EY, GatiKWE, ICICI bank, Hitachi, HDFC Bank, etc. The number of offers made was 157. The highest package offered this year is 18 Lacs per annum and the average package that is being offered currently is 11.5 Lacs. The profile offered are mostly in marketing at 60%, followed by finance at 14%, HR, analytics, and operations at 17%, 7%, and 2%. The college has a record of placing 100% of its students to date. After getting the degree, I believe to gather experience and know how the corporate and start-up world runs and thereafter use all my knowledge, to build a team for my own start-up that I have been planning for a long time.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite diverse. The fees of our batch 2022-24 were Rs13,17,900 for two years. The fee structure has remained the same for the next batch viz. 2023-25. The tuition fee stands at Rs4,85,633 for the 1st year and Rs4,91,107 for 2nd year. The fee structure is further divided into sections like study material fee, students welfare fee, library fee, hostel fee, medical insurance premium, and a security deposit of Rs20000. There is a scholarship and freeship scheme for Northeast students. The scholarship scheme to a certain percentage of the tuition fee depending upon the academic score of the student and the freeship scheme includes a 100% waiver of the tuition fee for both years. Recently I got placed in Shriram Life Insurance for the Summer Internship Program with a job role of Business Development Associate (Intern) with a stipend of Rs10000 per month and the added advantage of remote working.

Campus Life

4

Life at campus is quite happening since it involves a lot of competition from all aspects such as academics, sports, etc. The campus celebrates almost every big occasion all within itself starting from Ganesh Chaturthi to Diwali to New Year. The library holds a huge variation starting from non-fictional self-help books to trending fictional books. Apart from that, it also has extra books suggested by our professors. And it is available in such quantity that at least half of the students can have access to it. The classrooms have a gallery setup and include two projectors and one large whiteboard for 60+ students. Sport is a major part. Almost every time the field is occupied by any group for football or cricket. It also has a volleyball and badminton court. Further, it has a swimming pool, pool table, and table tennis. A social group is Prayas which carries CSR works and there are also academic clubs like finance, HR club, etc., and alumni, placement, and PR media committees.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are four hostels two for boys and two for girls. One of the two hostels has double occupancy and the other one has single occupancy. My hostel has double occupancy with inclusions in a room like a mirror, attached washroom, personal almirah, study table, and personal bookshelf. The meal quality turned out to be better than the normal hostel food. And the menu holds variations having food from every zone of the country having the south Indian dish Idli for breakfast on any one day of the week and Bengali dishes, north Indian dish rajma. The menu keeps on changing every month. There is no separate registration process. the registration is done while paying the first installment of the fees. The hostel fee is Rs1,12,080 for one year which includes lodging and food. There is no option for renting a room or PG nearby since it is a residential program. One has to stay on campus and avail hostel to get admission.

Interview Experience

4.5

During our time of admission, there was no GD conducted. It was a direct PI round. The PI round included questions about myself. The interview questions were mostly based on my interest and hobbies. I had to be true to them and to myself regarding those. Questions were also asked from my core graduation stream. Also, questions were thrown based on my most interesting area of knowledge. My preparation for the PI round was not too drastic. I revised whatever I learned in my graduation which included Taxation, Microeconomics, Management Accounting, and Cost Accounting. I revisited the domain that I am interested in which is Personal Finance and Investment. Thereafter, I nurtured my communication skills by practicing basic HR questions with my friends.

Other Applied Colleges

Birla Institute of Management Technology - [BIMTECH] | PGDM in International Business

The curriculum was not fully in my interest. There were many courses in the curriculum that I had very slight command over.

NTPC School of Business - [NSB] | Post Graduate Diploma in Management [PGDM] (Energy Management)

The curriculum is mostly designed for people aspiring to get into energy management. B tech students would find the curriculum more feasible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.
