Eligibility for BSc Mathematics is plus two in the science stream. Admission is through the centralised allotment process of Kannur university. you can apply through Kannur university's official website. The application fee is 450 INR. There is a reservation for backwards-class students. Students who belong to SC/St, OBC or OEC category are eligible for the Egrant scholarship. Sports quota is also available for a student who has remarkable achievements in sports. You have to apply separately for the sports quota. The overall admission process is simple and time bounded.

I choosed maths because I am really interested in maths. The mathematics department of payyannur college is really good. Teachers are well experienced and highly qualified. Teachers provide well-prepared notes for each subject. Series exams and internal exams are also conducted regularly. The pass percentage for the semester exam is 40. So it is not difficult for an average student to clear the exam.

The tuition fee was around two thousand. The cost of the study is very less compared to other private colleges. E grant scholarship is available for backward class students. The placement cell is not at all active in the college. And the college is not providing any internship opportunities.

Payyannur college provides the best campus life. The college has a central library with a great collection of books, journals and visual materials. The Maths department has a separate library whit a vast collection of maths textbooks. National Mathematics day is celebrated with lots of programmes and seminars. Payyannur college used to be the champion in the university arts festival for a number of years. the student union is very active and they conduct many programs on campus.
