Whatever percentage you get in your intermediate it doesn't matter(above 30% for sure). Eligibility is defined by how many candidates applied for admission and what's your position among them. Before my admission, the cut-off was about 51% and hereafter my completion one kid got 90% during the COVID batch and he didn't get a seat. It depends on how many have applied for the same year as you. There was a block dedicated only to giving away the applications offline. You can find all the course details there. Or else you can go to the department to know more about the particular curriculum(not recommended though). If you have some reservations like SC/ST/OBC then the chances are high(due to our education quota system). 30-40% of seats are reserved for this. The admission process was very good, the candidate is allowed and it was a very easy process. There are also volunteers available to help you regarding any issue. Lastly, it's my personal experience. Don't use it in any legal matter. Thank you.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was a bio student. But I always wanted to go for IT, which I did, by selecting the course ITM(Information Technology Management). It's similar to a 3years b.tech course (but not in getting the best package in placement). I chose it cause I belong to a middle-class family, and I couldn't be able to get a b.tech course out there(money issue). The faculty-student ratio is 1:22 approx. Faculties are very friendly and will help you any time if you need any help regarding anything. That's the only characteristics that can give you enough opportunity to understand every concept bit by bit and also clearly. All faculties are Ph.D. holders with writers of many books you might know. Follow this link to know more - https://ravenshawuniversity.ac.in/?page_id=19099 In each semester you have to give two exams. The first one is the mid-sem, which is easy if you know and read regularly. The second one is the end-sem, this one is also easy if you attended the classes. All exams are easy if you read.

Placement Experience

5

The course contains 6 semesters. From the 5-6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Last year due to COVID, we didn't get many on-campus placements. But Deloitte is the 1st company that organized an on-campus placement during COVID time. Except for our last year(due to COVID), we got many companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro such companies. You can apply for off-campus jobs if your batch is COVID batch. The highest package was 5LPA by Vodafone and the lowest one was Infosys with 1.9LPA. The average package was 2.6 LPA. In our batch, 95% of students were placed in various companies by placements. I already joined Cognizant with the job role of Programmer Trainee. You can explore the corporate world here and also many options to level up your skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost is only 35k/year as it's a self-financing course. Also, there was a scholarship for every student. I don't think it's very much compared to any other IT courses. I got selected for 3 companies, which are TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant. I am currently working with Cognizant as a Programmer Trainee, with a stipend of 2.52LPA which is an average stipend for a B.Sc student, in my opinion. See, if you are good enough to represent what you read in your semesters, it's very easy to get an entry-level job in good companies even MNCs. I know it's not much compared to B.Tech students, but if your financial level is low then you can manage to get an entry-level job. And then you can also improve your skills to get better opportunities. If you are determined enough to do something, you can do it. Don't you?

Campus Life

5

We have two functions at least, but last year due to COVID our function didn't hold. It's not a big deal. But in our first year, we had our department's function and also the University's function. Functions are held on generally Nov-Jan month. It was the best time I ever lived. You just search in google "Kanika Library" and you'll know. The best, literally the best place ever to read. The surrounding is such a good place, I remembered, every single day we went to the library to read. And it's the best place ever, even in your home you can't get much concentration, like in our library. Amenities were there, but most of the time it was closed due to COVID. (ps- The Lawn <3) We have our ground there. Every kind of sport was played. Extracurricular activities were also held like seminars, blood donation camps, hostel celebrations, etc. We have also a social group wthatis run by students to help all the students of the university. Regional Institute of Education - [RIE], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Bachelor of Education [B.Ed]

Placement Experience:

RIE is basically a Teachers training institute. Students are eligible to sit in placement from 8 semesters of b.sc b.Ed. a variety of schools from different parts of India come to visit RIE in the season of placement. There is a provision of 100% placement. Students are placed in variety of schools in the region starting from West Bengal Chhattisgarh even in Pune. Though the package is not that attractive cause here the package maximum goes up to 4.2 lakhs per annum. That's why many students choose to go for higher education rather than for placement. But 100% placement is there. The average package is about 3.6 lakhs per annum, which is not that good. A huge part of students go for higher education rather than placement.
