College Review

I took ECET entrance exam to get into this college after my diploma. Application form can be found in the college website. I wish caste based reservation to be not considered. Apart from normal admission process, management seats are also available but the fees is high for that quota.

I chose this course because I am interested in Power Engineering. Faculty to student ratio is 1 faculty for 50 students. Every faculty teaching here is at least MTech /MBA from an accredited institution. Teaching methods are poor and not clear enough. Term exams are scheduled every 6 months and it is very difficult to pass.

Students are eligible for the campus placements from 3rd year. Some prominent companies which have visited are Wipro, TCS, HCL, Hexaware, Wiley Edge, Infosys. The highest package is 20 lakhs/annum and average package is 3 lakhs/annum.

The fee hike happens every year with 1% increase of.yearly college fee. Financial assistance is from the govt to cast reserved candidates. Other financial options are limited and not readily available.

There are no fests conducted in the college, no extra curricular activities.This college solely focuses on getting the students placed. There are tons of books and journals available un the library for students to study.Sports is not encouraged in this college. NSS, Eclatz Club, Aero Club are some of the social groups and clubs run by students.

Facilities provided in the room are adequate, but there is no mobile connectivity and the wifi does not work. Meals are quite and good and snacks are also provided. Registration process for hostel is simple , the student has to pay 10% of the yearly hostel fee, fill up a form to get into the hostel. The locality is of a hilly place surrounded by trees, no human settlements until 7 km down the hill.
