I love my college years.

The eligibility criteria for the course are above 65% marks in graduation and they must clear the entrance exam to get to the IIT campus for the Ph.D. course. The students can find the application form on the main government entrance websites with the fees of 1400 rupees. I don't think that the college needs any type of improvement in its admission procedure because entrance exams are necessary to make it competitive and teach students to do hard work for their goals.

The choose the Ph.D. course from this IIT college because I want to make my career in the field of teaching and see myself as a professor. The faculty who are teaching here are so much qualified and well knowledge persons who have done a lot of things in their lives and sharing that knowledge with us. The exams are taken twice times in a semester where the first one is mid sem exam for practice purposes and the next one is the end sem exam for getting promoted to the next semester and I must say it's not very easy.

My IIT college also provides the internship to interested students as well and the internship is required, and we are eligible for an internship after finishing our 1st-year program. We are only eligible for an internship if we attend 70% of classes and have the same percentage of attendance. Many companies/industries visit our campus for the internship program of almost 50+ companies. The average internship stipend is around 1k to 2lacs. The college also helps in enhancing extra knowledge and skills by providing project work to the campus students to learn something new and get some experience and I can proudly say that I also take much participated in college projects.

From the 3rd semester of the course, the students are eligible for the college placement session. We all know that the IITs are known for their campus placements with very high packages for Jobs. The college placement quality is awesome because the institution is the best university, and placement also has a very high percentage. The college has a record of 85 percent selection in Placement and the remaining 15% are those who leave the placement sessions to do something else or open any start-up. The college's highest placement offer is 2 crore per annum and the average wage placement is 30- 35 lacs per annum. The main recruiting companies are Snapdragon, Amazon, Google, etc. My plans are different I want to become a college professor.

The fees of my Ph.D. course from this college are not high, it is very less in compare to other colleges and also has a very high reputation based on IIT college and the cost of the study is very manageable. On the other hand, the college also has a big relief facility of scholarships for all those students who have an economically weaker side (EWS) and some for the merit holders.

There is a lot of fest like the annual fest and tech fest organized on the campus for the students to learn something new and take part in extra curricular activities. The tech fest is taken by big IT companies who come to campus and provide information about the work. In our college library, there are every type of book is available for students and if some are not available then he/she can tell the librarian and the management will arrange it. There are also many types of social clubs and sports clubs where students can take part and learn with enjoyment.

The Indian institute of technology Roorkee has a total of 18 hostels, 7 of which are for girls and 11 for boys. The IIT Roorkee hostel is known for the facilities they are providing to the students at affordable prices as well. The hostel has a free Wi-Fi connection for the whole day for every student 7 days a week. The food at the hostel is excellent, the menu is hygienic and a variety of types are available as well. The rooms are available in both double and single occupancy. The hostel's discipline is excellent. There are also sports facilities. Holi, Diwali, and New Year's Eve are also celebrated at the hostel. The college locality is part of the main city so there are so many rental apartments and PGs are also available near the institute campus
