You have to clear JEE Advanced to get admission into IITs. You also need to have min 75% in your 12th boards. First, you have to apply for JEE Mains on their official website. If you have a percentile greater than 90 then most probably you will qualify for JEE Advanced. Then Qualifying for JEE Advanced is the most important thing to get admission into IITs. Most of the faculty members in our Chemical Engineering department are Ph.D. scholars. Their teaching methods are quite extraordinary. They conduct weekly tests, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams. The end-semester exams are a bit tricky and difficult as they expect you to learn the respective course very thoroughly. The total batch has 170 students but they are divided into sections of 85 students each. Both sections have a different set of teaching faculty but the same syllabus.

Our college provides on-campus placement. Placement season starts at the end of the 7th semester for the fourth yr students. Companies like SAIL, BHEL, ONGC, and many more come to the campus. The average salary for chemical engineering students lies between 18 LPA and 20 LPA. Almost 90% of the students are placed in on-campus placement, the rest are either preparing for UPSC or MBA or have a startup in their mind.

The tuition fee for one semester is 1,00,000 i.e. 1 lakhs. The mess fee is 22,500 and some extra gymkhana fees, medical fees, exam fees, etc adds up to nearly 1,40,000 per semester. There are various scholarship programs provided by the institution for the weaker section like those whose income is less than 1 lakhs per annum their whole tuition and mess fee are dismissed, and those who have income between 1 lakhs and 5 lakhs have to pay 30% of the total tuition fees. There are various named scholarships also. For getting a stipend on campus, you can apply for the job of Teaching Assistant whose work is to help the prof in conducting the exams, helping in experiments, and teaching the batch if the prof is unavailable.

IIT Bombay organizes Asia's largest college cultural fest, MOOD INDIGO, and it also organizes Asia's largest college technical festival, the TECHFEST in the month of December. People from all across the world come here to perform in Mood Indigo and showcase their talent like Foreign singers and dancers. Our campus has a large library where you can get all the course books and more. It is also fully equipped with Wi-Fi facilities. Our classrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi facilities and charging sockets on every bench. They are fully air-conditioned with very good lighting also. The campus has multiple volleyball, basketball, and badminton courts. We have a cricket net practice area, football ground, squash court, hockey ground, and many gym facilities.
