Remarks

You must me 12th pass for seeking admission in RGGEC. The admission is on the basis of hpcet. The application forms are available on www.himtu.ac.in website . And anyone who applies gets the admission irrespective of their scores in hpcet. So all the best for the journey ahead. Overall if u are capable of yourself getting a job then this college is for you.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course if designed smartly. In first year all branches have same subjects then after in 2nd year the students move towards their respective courses and get detailed knowledge of that. The faculties are a mixed some are good some are average and a few are really bad. The faculty and student ratio is 1:50 The faculties are well qualified with commission exam one of the toughest in Himachal Pradesh . The teaching method of some faculties is excellent while some are average there is a mixed response. The term exams took place timely, there are 2 mid semester exams and 1 end semester exam called as final. They are not that much difficult to pass you just have to do some practice and analyse some PYQ's

Internships Opportunities

1

The internship opportunities are there but very less. Only about 20% got the chance to get internship. Moreover, There is no paid internship provided. And internship process in on campus Is for 3rd and 4th year students only. So don't expect much from the sides of internship through this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is not that high it is 35000 per semester. And overall there is some stationary expenses that's it. Some scholarships are also provided such as Pragati scholarship and a few more. But that's is purely on merit basis, that delivers about 10,000 per year. So far I haven't heard of someone getting a paid internship. So that you have to arrange of your own.

Campus Life

2

The life at campus Is good . You have so many places to chill and have fun. There is a freshers party called AAGAZ and there is a fest also at HPTU campus(only on the main campus) the fest is approximately conducted in the month of November- December. Library is not that big at today's time but yes it is getting better day by day but books are very limited The sports clubs are there of each and every branch like in cricket, badminton, football, chess and a few more depending upon students. There is no such social group , clubs or websites for students run by students.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facility is amazing but available only for 1st year boys and 1st and 2and year girls. There is a mess, volleyball court, badminton court, and some more space to do your own stuff in hostel with a common room that have TV fitted in it. Meal quality is good and menu is also up to the mark, the students can also change menu according to their need but there is only Veg food available Hostel fees is about 7500 per semester (except mess bill I.e. about ?84 per day) Registration process is done only at the time of taking admission through campus office only. PG's are available nearby the colleges there are many such PG's and personal rooms for rent nearby the campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement at JUIT begins from the 7th semester, core branches like cSE see good placements while Bioinformatics has limited on campus opportunities, Most of them opt for higher studies or research roles. I planned to go for job.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
