Remarks
In our time admission was through University's own entrance BHU UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test). But now as per the NEP (New Education Policy), Admission is given through CUET score. The eligibility of my course (BCom Hons) is 10+2 with (Mathematics or Commerce as a subject in class 12). Min 50% Marks, Reservation benefits as per government. 50%+ reservation to (SC, ST, OBC, and General). There are 5 Affiliated colleges in this course if you failed to get FOC (Main campus). Now you can find the application process and fee details through the NTA portal.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I was curious about management studies and I wanted to study Commerce and learn its practical application. Secondly, I was having commerce in my class 12. In the future Goal is to secure the 90+ percentile in CAT and avail a good college for MBA. The course faculty is good and well-qualified. With 10+ years of teaching experience and few scholars guide us in our study through career guidance and mutual help. Our 1st year was a bit fast, because of corona admission process was delayed. But that gap was covered by conducting two semesters of exams within 8 months. There are (approx.) 1:15 faculty Professor/teaching staff over the student.
Internships Opportunities
As far as I know, there are no such placement opportunities. But there are internship opportunities. But if you are good at academics there are few banks and financial institutions who frequently visit and provide internship opportunities to students after conducting an assessment ( Exam).
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are too low if you compare them with the return you are getting. There are few concessions for different groups of students. Sc - fees concession is there up to 50%. Apart from that, you can avail of scholarship benefits through the UP scholarship scheme or NSP ( for students other than UP). BHU also provides internship or part-time jobs within the campus in different areas (library, canteen, faculties) to students in need. Approx. 10000/month to students belonging to lower backgrounds.
Campus Life
There are the availability of each and everything on the campus that a student requires. From sports to books. The gym is there in every hostel. Basketball court, Volleyball court, Badminton court (Indoor Stadium), Cricket ground, Gymnastics accessories. Secondly, there are 2 libraries available. Cyber Library (for studying online and streaming classes on Wi-Fi) and Central Library (general library),
