College Review

The eligibility of this course is 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as compulsory subjects. When I applied then it was based on an entrance exam conducted by UPTU Lucknow. But now admission is being done based on rank in Jee Mains exam. But you may get admission even after getting a lower rank, for that just wait for the last rounds of counseling. Yes, there are reservation benefits that you can avail such as EWS, OBC, SC, ST, state quota, etc.

Because I was interested in physics in intermediate and attracted to learn about electronic circuits and it's working, I choose this course. There are approximately 15 teachers in each department including HOD. Approximately 60 students each year are there. Only two or three faculties are here who have Ph.D., the rest all have either MTech or B.Tech as higher qualifications. There are 8 semesters in 4 years. Each semester has 2 mid-semester exams of 30 marks each, 1 quiz of 15 marks, and 1 end semester exam of 50 marks. Along with that, there are lab exams, and assignments. Because of frequent exams, there is less burden of the syllabus for syllabus so to qualify for the exam is very easy here, just need to mug up the things 2 days before the exam and can get 7 SPI easily.

No internship is provided by the college, you have to find it on your own. Many of my friends have done internships at Kanpur Central railway station. I have done from Internshala in VLSI design. My project in the internship was to design a multi-operational ALU with the use of Veiling coding on clinic vivado software.

From your 6th semester, you become eligible to sit for the placements. Only IT companies offer a good package of around 4LPA to 8LPA and some marketing companies offer sales executive job and also offers a package of around 3LPA to 6LPA. You need to have at least 65% or 6.75 CPI overall to become eligible for placements. I plan to go into the educational field.

The fee structure is 84100 for one year. And there you can avail of scholarships rewarded by the up government. Along with there are other private scholarships such as NEST for which you can apply. For UP government scholarship amount is: 65000 for hostelers OBC/GEN/EWS, 93000 for hostelers SC/ST, 55000 for non-hostelers OBC/GEN 65000 for non hostelers EWS, 83000 for non hostelers SC/ST. There are no job opportunities on campus.

There happen no Techfest or tech events, only one or two cultural events and sports events are conducted. Even though I did not get the fresher's party from the college, we arranged it ourselves. Books are very sufficient in the library for every subject. The classroom is good but not well-furbished. A Digital board for teaching is available. There are NCC, NSS and many sports events conducted every year. Coding clubs, fitness clubs, robotics clubs, etc. can be joined very easily. Artificial intelligence and machine learning workshop are conducted this year. Gyan sanchay website is being run for students to provide notes.

These are two seated rooms in which chairs, tables, two beds, ceiling fans, an Almirah, balcony are provided. There are two hostels, the new one is well-furbished and the old one is also in good condition. Meal quality is not too good and not too bad, two times snacks and two meals are provided. You need to fill out the application form for the hostel and submit it to the hostel warden. There are limited seats so first come first serve facility is available. There are hostels near the college just 100 meters away. It costs around 2500 - 4000 for one room.
