Remarks

For admission we have to write JEE mains, it is the entrance exam and according to your rank you will be placed into colleges. On JEE's main website, we can browse and find applications and can fill them out. First, you have to keep ready all the documents they have asked for and you have to submit them on physical reporting.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose ECE cause we can choose both the software and hardware side according to our interests. placements in ece are pretty good. The faculty is good we can understand the subject. Students: faculty ratio like 3:1. They have done PhDs and specializations in their subject. They teach nicely. They are about 5 months and if you study you can pass without studying we can't.

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 106000 per year

Internships Opportunities

So many companies came and some students got Internship, like 100 companies may be visited, 80%companies give stipend and I don't know about projects cause I didn't do that and we will do in 3rd year.

Placement Experience

For the 7th semester, students will be eligible and around 200+ companies visited roughly not sure about the number and the highest is 80 LPA percentage of getting placed is 92 and after getting a degree I want to do a software job with a decent package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is okay but they increase sometimes. Scholarships will be given to eligible candidates, Students can apply for NSP, and campus jobs are good. Free scholarship and we don't get jobs on campus and no stipend for that.

Campus Life

Campus Life is good, Students are friendly, and We can learn many things from clubs. Infrastructure is also good and there will be 3 fests that include tech fest also we can find books related to our subjects and motivational books .sports clubs are good and extracurricular activities can be seen often.

Hostel Facilities

For girls it's good and in the room, we have 3 tables bed chairs and 3cupboard and 3 lights 3 separate wall fans and one ceiling fan and 2 windows. Food is good we can eat like roti rice dal. Through SBI we pay the fees and the administration will take about the registration.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
