Remarks

For admission to any medical college in the country, we need to write NEET-UG after the 12th and according to the rank, we get allotted to the college. The application form and the eligibility criteria are all available on the official nmc website. After writing the NEET exam you can opt for either a seat in government or private colleges. The cut-off for our college is around 520 for A-category students. The admission process went very smoothly with respect to the responsibilities of the college management.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have always wanted to be a doctor and svs provided a very holistic environment for it. We have about 5-7 faculty for each preclinical and paraclinical department whereas pg interns all are included in the clinical subjects. We had college internals and prefinals which are college-regulated and yearly-based exams which are university regulated. The exams are difficult which such huge portions.

Internships Opportunities

5

In MBBS, one year of compulsory internship is necessary to get the degree. We have too many outpatients in the hospital, and we are posted in each department for a month or so for exposure in each department. Internship at SVS is a book of new experiences and cases.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee in our state for all medical colleges is the same. It's 60000 for the A category, 11lac for the B category, and 25lac for the C cat. We get paid a stipend at the end of the college time during our internship which is about 25k.

Campus Life

3.5

We have a huge library and the college always encourages research. We have abundant research material and journals available, with high-speed internet and computer systems in the library. The library is open to all from 8 in the morning to 10 at night. We have a fest every year which is conducted by the final year students, and includes both sports and cultural fest. Various activities, like medical quizzes, dance, music competitions, and theme parties take place during the fest.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are quite adequate with good ventilation. We have cupboards with locks for safety. The sub staff is very cooperative too. Cleaning is done regularly. Mess food is extremely hygienic and is checked by the authorities every few days. New items are also added once in a while for a change. Seasonal fruits are given for evening snacks. All in all, the hostel is a very safe and friendly place.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is made according to our ability to grasp when we come out of our board exams. The first year might be considered a little touch but it in general is quite different and I personally enjoy studying it . Exams are a bit stressful but if a person has already studied then the tension gets distributed and it feels like nothing.
