Entrance Preview

Getting into GITAM University is quite easy if you have been studying all along your senior secondary. I had to give an entrance exam to qualify for the further admission procedure. The test was overall quite easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

I found that the course of the college is just like other Bachelor of engineering colleges in the country. There are compulsory and elective subjects. I had opted for B.tech in Computer science and I found the course quite helpful.

Placement Experience

Talking of placements there are quite a lot of opportunities available for students. I sat in the placements of computer science field and companies like HCL etc came with quite attractive packages for freshers.

College Events

Any college has to keep up the enthusiasm level of their students. For this, events are organized in the college. The events organized at GITAM witnessed a lot of participation along with prominent judges as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for GITAM university is similar to other bachelor of engineering colleges in India. Just like other colleges the Btech is of four years and the fee charged is 225,000 per year respectively.

Campus Life

I found it extremely fruitful to be a part of the GITAM campus. The students get a lot of exposure to learn and enhance their skills. Apart from that there are a lot of facilities like cafeteria, wifi etc provided at the doorstep of students in the campus.

Faculty

faculty is the backbone of every college. Similarly the faculty of GITAM university is supportive and motivating to the students. They answer all sorts of queries, whether big or small and encourage us to learn more.

Campus placements are provided from college. Highest they show was 60Lpa obviously off campus and was in the year 2022 but there were quite good ones from AWS 32 lpa, yugabyte 44lpa, Morgan Stanley 29lpa. Average package is 5.9lpa. Percentage of students getting placed is dropped slightly because of the increase in studemt intake

biomedical engineering is available in a very few colleges. Affordable college, needs improvement.

Applied to a couple of NLUs did not get the T1 or T2 NLUs, and did not want to go to T3 NLUs for the sake of the name, tried other private colleges but they were super expensive compared to this. I got accepted to all the private colleges that I applied to, and all of the T3 NLUs. The college has its own general admission test GAT, which is simple enough to be taken easily, a seperate personal interview is also conducted, though as far as I am aware, it is not a ground for rejection currently....Read More
