Remarks

LBSIM requires 80-90 percentile for admission. It is a pretty decent college for PGDM and also provides good placement. Currently, LBSIM provides a 5-course specialization and has experienced faculty in all the domains apart from that it had hectic work culture and a bit of lag in exam structure.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is pretty much industry related and also some traditional subjects, basically a mixed balance. Most of the facilities are really experienced and have the conceptual clarity of the subjects.

Internships Opportunities

LBSIM is lagging in providing internships there are some good companies but most of the internships are not worthwhile even though low stipends are provided. But I'm sure it will improve but as of now, this is a con of the institute.

Placement Experience

Around 70+ companies visited to campus for final placement and have a record of 100% placement. The average package is around 11.4 lacs most of the students are placed with a CTC between 10 to 11 lacs in good companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is around 12 lacs, Despite all the 5 courses. Yes, there is a scholarship opportunity in the second year on the basis of financial conditions and merit. The placements scenario is bright at LBSIM, average placement is around 11.4 lacs

Campus Life

The campus is a bit small but the infrastructure is good and has various facilities. These 21 clubs and 4 extracurricular clubs. Campus life at LBSIM is hectic yet enjoyable. There are major clubs of marketing, finance, operations, hr, etc.

Interview Experience

CAT, GMAT, and XAT percentile are eligible for admission. There are both GD and PI in the admission process, the topics GD are based on current market news and some abstract based. The interview is kind of general ones like hygiene questions and course-related questions

Placement Experience:

Till the time of writing, I am in 3rd month of my 5 month last semester and in my class about 60% of my batch is placed. You have to submit a student body fee of 40000 a year to be eligible for taking placements as this help out in having events organized outside the college. As there is no placement cell provided by DU, our student body is mostly run by students. Currently highest package offered was about 27 lpa and roles that have come are management trainee, Junior Data scientist, risk analyst etc.

Placement Experience:

The university provide both the internship and placements opportunities to the students. For summer internships the companies start visiting the campus after 4-5 months from joining the college and everyone is eligible for that. The 2 month summer internship is mandatory for every student. And for final placements companies visits in the last semester of the course. The highest package for MBA is 23 lakhs and average package is approx 7-8 lakhs. The placements rate is approx 70-80% In terms of ROI college is good.

IIFT:- THE MOST UNDERRATED BSCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY

Placement Experience:

The placements of IIFT DELHI are at par with some of the old IIM's like Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode. Iift is beast when it comes to finance and marketing. Every major international bank and every hedge fund visit the campus for recruitment. Also IIFT caters to some trade companies that only recruit from this college and don't visit any other campus in India. Last year 102 companies visited the campus , the median package was around 26 lakhs and average was around 27 lakhs. Highest package stood at 85 lakhs. And 100 percent placement was achieved. I'll be most probably going for working in a bank or a hedge fund after the degree

LBSIM: Life Changing Experience for me.

I was offered admission by Fore, Delhi, NMIMS Bangalore, Hyderabad, GLIM Gurgaon but I talked to people of different colleges on Linkedin. I found that LBSIM people were good at interactions and overall location, curriculum suited me the most. The admission process had a GD followed by PI. I was selected through CAT but selection through XAT is also availble. Cut off ranges from 72 percentile for RBA to 84 percentile for General. I had wailist at Fore, which got clear after the first round but the response of LBSIM's RBA was better than Fore's BDA...Read More
