Remarks

Cleared the entrance exam Jee main-2020 and I scored 97.6 percentile and cut off 97 percentile. Application form can be found on the website of jee mains and fees is rupees 600. I did not avail of any reservation benefits.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose civil engineering because it was in my best interest. It attracted me a lot as a lot of research is there in this field. Faculty members are also good. This is the best college for one who has a dream to do big in life.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies give internship opportunities to students in our college. Companies like Amazon, Atlassian, Tslp, nhai, IOCL, axela advisory, fiber, and Mercer mettle provide good internship opportunities to students with good stipends.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Many companies like Amazon, Atlassian, l and t, reliance, IBM, HSBC, ICICI, tata steel, tata motors, etc. Visit college. The Percentage of students' placement is 90%.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are almost constant and it has hardly changed in the last five years. I haven't got any internship right now but got a scholarship of tata millennium scholarship. The cost to study is about 8 lakhs including mess fees.

Campus Life

The clubs are highly active. Cultural fest and sports fest are at their peak of organization. The Library is very big and a lot of books are available there. The college website is also awesome. The clubs are also wonderful.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
