Remarks

To get admission you have to get at least a rank below 15000 in JEE mains for ECE in the general category from other states. If you are from your home state you may easily get a seat with a low cut-off mark

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is very good. The faculty is very talented and have a lot of experience in their field. The curriculum is good. Academics may not bother and you can invest much of your time in coding and learning the things which you may like.

Placement Experience

Placements in our college are very good. For, ECE we had 100% placement in our last passed-out batch. You will get better opportunities if you are looking for the IT sector. The highest CTC this year for ECE is 80 lacs per year and the minimum CTC for 50% of students is about 20.5 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

we have a tuition fee of 62500 if you are having an income certificate below 1 lakh you will have full reimbursement if your income is above 1 lakh and below 5 lakhs you will have to pay 2/3 rd of the tuition fee. The institution fee is 35500 and the hostel fee is 18000

College infra and classes are good laboratory infra should be improved. Every student from 2nd year will get a single room. you will have a lot of exposure to sports cultural and literary clubs. And you will have technical clubs in many fields

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
