Remarks

Mostly admission is done through cap rounds conducted by cet. You can get an application form for management quota on the website of the college. College also provides reservations for every category. You have to complete 12th for admission for BTech 1st year.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose mechanical engineering because I like it. The faculty here is very dedicated towards studies and students. All teachers are from IITs and NITs. All the syllabus here is industry based. Exams are taken semister-wise.

Placement Experience

College provides internships last year. There are also in-campus placements. Many known companies visit the college and give good packages to the students. Nearly 95 per cent of students get placed in in campus and off-campus interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

As the college is old and autonomous the fees are also high. Fees for open category students are 150000rs. It reduces category-wise. Many scholarships and financial help are also provided by the college.

Campus Life

There is yearly sports meeting in college. Many college groups take part in state-level sports competitions. There are various technical and non-technical societies and clubs for the development of students.

Hostel Facilities

The college has provided a good hostel. With every needed facility. The meal provided in the mess is also ok. You can register for a hostel in the college office after admission. The hostel is very close to the college. You can also get PGs and rental flats nearby the college.

Placement Experience:

For 5th semester students become eligible for internship (stipend based)...And from 7th semester for placements. TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, Tech Mahindra – for software roles Larsen & Toubro, Honeywell, Siemens, KPIT, Bosch, Persistent Systems – for core engineering roles (ENTC, Mechanical, IT) Other startups & IT product companies also visit for internships and full-time offers. Highest Package: Around ?24–28 LPA (mainly for CSE/IT students in product-based companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, TCS iON, etc.) Average Package: Around ?4.5–6 LPA for core and IT companies, and ?3.5–5 LPA for ENTC students. Each year, over 90% of CSE/IT/ENTC students get placed. Branch-specific placements may vary: CSE usually sees 95–98% placements, ENTC around 85–90%, and other branches slightly lower. The Real Experience: Strengths and Shortcomings of PCCOE

Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated Training and Placement(T&P) cell and has regular recruitment drives that work to place students in companies where they will be values highly. Each year, 600-700 students are placed from all the branches. More than 300+ companies visit but the ones that hire are limited such as TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra which generally are mass recruiters that look for employees that will work for 3LPA or 4.5LPA. The highest packages go to about 30 to 40 LPA domestic and 61 LPA foreign but it is very rare to get a placement like this and requries considerable effort on the side of the student as well. Average package is 7 LPA for CS/IT branch; 5 LPA for electronics and telecommunications branch; 4 LPA for mechanical. My plan after getting the degree is working for 1-2 years while simultaneously pursuing masters.

our college has motorsports clubs so if you are in those clubs you will get very high reputation while the placements. one concern you have to consider is that the will have total 3 campus for the placement drives so the crowd is very high.

From semester 6 students can sit for internship drives in college. Companies like BMC, Rapid7, TCS, Capgemini, Accenture ,Barclays visit our college, mostly the hire for SDE role and give traning to selected students. Highest package is 61 LPA and average is 7-8 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed vary each year. I am planning to sit for placement.
