Remarks

The entrance test is a joint entrance examination (JEE) Main after getting a good rank then through JOSAA counselling get admission to this college. Those students have done their 12th class from Jharkhand then got 50%reservation also SC, ST, OBC and EWS

We choose here civil engineering b.tech course because my JEE MAIN rank was not so good or according to my rank, I got Civil branch. The faculties of civil engineering are so good and In this college, our branch is one of the best branch faculties.

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 824000 per year

Placement Experience

Companies visited like Deloitte, ICIC, L&T, exella and many more, Highest package is 82lacs and the medium package is 10lacs. The percentage of placement as compared to other Nit colleges like Patna is so good in both fields Core and Non-core.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is semester wise each semester fee is 72500 and some conditions are applied when your family income is below 1lacs then you got 100% tuition fee remission and also those students who have a family income between 1lacs to 5lacs then got 66% fee remission on tution fee and tution fee is 62500 and scholarship is NSP and e-Kalyan and FFE and college provide also many more scholarship

Campus Life

In Nit Jamshedpur, our biggest annual cultural fest is Culfest which is organised in mid-Feb and the tech fest is Ojass. And Annual sports event is named URJA which is a 3day event. LIBRARY also have many academic books and easily you can issue.

Hostel Facilities

In this college one attraction is here hostel. The hostel is so good in condition and provides each student single seater room. The mess provides four times meals in a day and the quality is moderate. Mega mess is the biggest mess of nit Jamshedpur and its capacity is 1600 students to prepare a meal

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
