Remarks
I applied through MHCET. I got around the 95 percentile and a rank of 7k. I got CSE in this college through the provided rank. I did not take any reservation benefits and I went through the general category. The admission process was easy and smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course which I chose was Computer Science and Engineering. The course content was a bit outdated still it was okay. Student to faculty ratio was around 60:1 which can be considered a good ratio. All the faculty was qualified enough and most of them had master's degrees from either Tier 1 or Tier 2 colleges. Exams were a little bit difficult to crack as there were too many exams including mocks and retests but it made us practice enough to face university exams.
Internships Opportunities
Main companies which visit for internship are NVIDIA, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Amdocs. They provide internship for about 6 months and later students are absorbed as FTE. During the internship period students are made to work on mostly support and testing projects but they get to learn many technologies which are not taught in college syllabus.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements generally after the completion of the 6th semester. More than 200 companies visited the campus throughout the entire year during my batch and almost 80-90 per cent of students got placed with almost 100 per cent placement in CSE and IT. I got placed in Reliance Jio with a package of 5 LPA. The average package offered is 4 LPA. Highest package offered was 15 LPA which was offered by NVIDIA which hired around 30 students from our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
When I took admitted in 2018 the course fees for CSE were around 80-85k per year which is decent enough for a private college. It was the same for all four years and no fee hike took place in all four years irrespective of later batches joining with revised fees. We paid the same fees for all 4 years.
Campus Life
The library was the best part of the college. We had a 5-floor library and it was well maintained. Now coming to the fest part, Sinhgad Karandak is the name of our fest and it is a biggest cultural and technical fest of whole Pune's colleges. We have hosted some big celebrities like Chainsmoker and Brooke Evers. Amenities in the classrooms were decent enough. Sports and other curricular activities were also there in the college. There were other clubs too like a coding club named Coding Hub, Sinhgad Drama Circle, Sinhgad dance club and many more
Hostel Facilities
The room of the hostels was decent enough. We were provided 2 times meals in the mess of the hostel. Mess food was hygienic and we had a special meal on Sunday afternoon. The fees for the hostel were 65k per year which included mess. We had a without mess option too for which we had to pay a lesser amount. Rooms were 4 sharing and we had water cooler and gyser too in the hostel.
