Remarks
The admission is done through sat/jee main/12th boards scores and percentile. There is no separate entrance exam. There is a cutoff of a minimum of 65 per cent in boards or 60 per cent in jee mains or 40 per cent in sat score. We can find the application form on the college's official website or you can go to the university to collect the application form. There are no application fees and the application dates start from May to the October of a year. There are no reservation benefits available. For computer science minimum of 90%, for artificial intelligence minimum of 85%, for electronics and computers minimum of 80% is required. In the admission process, one has to deposit 20,000 INR after getting admission, which I want to be removed for upcoming students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good and efficient. The senior faculty members are from IITs with PhD. I chose this course as I was interested in artificial intelligence specifically in machine learning and virtual assistance. The faculty-student ratio is decent around 60:1. The qualification of every faculty(senior and assistant) is a PhD. The teaching method is good in a few subjects like machine learning, c but in a few subjects like design algorithms, the teaching is bad. There is no review feedback for the faculty. There is one month gap between each exam. The grading is tough as it is absolute grading and faculty do strict correction and there is no important question given for exams
Placement Experience
The placements in the college are at the medical level. MAANG companies are very few with their placements. Most of the placements are from FAANG companies. The average package is between 4,00,00-5,00,000 INR. The highest package received is 26,00,000 INR and the least package is 2,00,00 INR. Around 65-70% of students got placements. My plans after my degree are either get a job or do a master's from IITs or abroad
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is expensive. The tution fee is 4,00,000 INR for Indian students while for NRI students it is 5,00,000. you have to score a minimum of grade 9 in each semester to avail of the scholarship. The scholarship range is from 15,000-20,000 INR. There is no other financial assistance and from the college management no campus jobs in the campus area.
Campus Life
The annual fests are at an okay level but not at a high level. The monthly fests and tech fest are at a small level. There are no celebrities for the annual fests and monthly fests come up with local DJs. There are many journals and books available in the library. There are around 10 clubs on campus, while only 4-5 will be active throughout the year. Cultural events are held on campus and are organized by the cultural club. The classroom is peaceful to study and the faculty presents content on screen. There is a basketball court, football ground, 3 badminton courts, 2 tennis courts, 2 snooker tables and 1 table tennis on the campus. There is no separate cricket ground and all the sports grounds are occupied at all times because of more students on campus. No website or social group are run by students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is not bad. There is no attached washroom in rooms and it is 2 students per room. Students will be given separate cupboards and study tables. There is AC in rooms but only gets turned on in summer for 3 hours. The maintenance is good. The rooms have no balcony and are not spacious. The meal quality is average and the menu is average and can be better. Registration can be done in the warden's room and the fee is 2,00,000 INR per annum.
Other Applied Colleges
SRM Institute of Science and Technology - [SRMIST], Chennai | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Because of more students per class and poor faculty feedback. The college is far from Hyderabad. The hostel facilities are very bad and campus facilities are not to the mark. Also, i received negative feedback from college seniors
