All about my Academic Life in LPU

The admission process which was followed by my university at the time of admission was quite smooth. I applied to several colleges named- IPU, LU, CU and many more. But looking into placement and other factors, I decided to pursue my bachelor's from Lovely Professional University. I didn't avail of any quota. The admission process was pretty simple and smooth. One test called LPUNEST was conducted in order to shortlist the candidates based on the raw score. I was shortlisted and then called for the GDPI process. My GDPI went well and finally, I was selected for taking admission to LPU. My ID card was issued on the day of counselling and other documents were verified.

I chose this course because i wanted to make a mark in the field of management in the coming years. So looking forward to that, i opted for thus course as it helped me a lot in nurturing my management as well as communication skills which will be helpful for me when I step into the corporate world. The faculties in my college were quite good and well educated and were friendly with us. If we faced any problem or any kind of doubt regarding a particular topic, we would immediately contact the faculty and he/she addressed all the queries and provided an appropriate solution.

The total fee of the course was Rs. 60,000. I didn't opt for the hostel as the accommodation facility of the campus was not that good and was also not worth taking considering the cost and the service which was being provided. I got a scholarship of Rs. 12000 as a result of scoring well above the cutoff and also getting a decent percentage in my 10+2.

The overall campus life was very good. I participated in several events including Coke Studio, Management Conclave, etc. Several singers also visited my university basically for the promotion of their songs and movies and that was one of the most exciting happenings that took place in the campus. The classroom teaching was all done on the smartboard through a projector. Many activities took place in the classroom too which were basically to engage more and more students and increase coordination amongst them.

Yes, talking about the selection process about my college, as I told before that there was a 2-round process which a candidate had to clear before taking admission on the University. The 1 round was LPUNEST exam which consisted of approx 100 questions and was of total 300 marks and the cutoff to clear the exam was 150. I got 183 marks and easily cleared the 1st round. 1st round was then followed by the GDPI process. Several questions were asked from me about my native state, what are my hobbies, why bachelors from LPU and a lot more....
