IGEC Sagar - college review

I got admitted into the course based on marks obtained in jee main 2018. The application form can be found on the website of DTE MP Online. The admission process was not hectic. I didn't faced any issue during admission.

Before admission, I went through the website of this college and I found that the Mechanical department is the only department of the college that has well-qualified faculty members who are from NITs/IITs. And most of the professors are permanent. All the permanent teachers have deep knowledge of their respective subjects. They all are very friendly. If you want to gain knowledge from them, they are always ready and willing to provide the best of their knowledge. Midterm exams are conducted on time. If you study regularly, you won't find the questions much difficult.

After the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Various companies like Byjus, stereograph, pentagon space, TCS, etc. visited the campus. The highest package was around 11 lakhs. I want to go for MTech form NIT or IIT, so, I am preparing for GATE.

The fee is quite low in the college, 23470 per year. The scholarship is provided to obc & sc/sc students who belong to MP state. The scholarship amount is more than the actual fees. So, you will have some extra money even after paying the fees. Not many companies approach here for campus hiring. But staffs of Training & Placement cell are making efforts to gain the attraction of various companies. Because of their effort, many companies are now coming to the college and many students are being placed every year.

Tech fest happens almost every year in the month of march. Books are available in the library. There are smart boards in the classroom for interactive teaching. Some sports tournament is organized every year such as badminton tournament, football tournament, cricket tournament, etc. There is a group named "the next level" which organize various quizzes, competitions, etc.
