I am choosing mechanical because I am interested in machines and also in mathematics.
Most of the internships at Indira Gandhi Engineering College Sagar are available offline in the civil and electric branches, and online in the IT branch, which is also good.

Dislikes

As I mentioned above, the placement records are not satisfactory. Even if there are a few placements, they come with lower packages.
Hostel facilities and rooms are in poor condition, and the mess is a cooperative mess conducted by the hostels students. However, all hostel rooms have fully Wi-Fi facilities, which is fantastic, and the hostel rent is very low

I like my college campus it have various options
My college faculty are very friendly they help us very much

I dislike about my college because distance from my college is very much
In my college I need to write a letter for even a small thing

In my course exam per sem there a total three exams two unit test and one final sem exams I choose this course cause I need do more in cyber security and go ahead in this field and go abroad for further studies

Likes

As I am in first year so there is a proper faculty for first year.
Teachers are helpful and understand ones life situatuons.

Dislikes

Some periods are free because of some teacher absence
There are no events for students for their refreshment.

Placement Experience:

From my siniors I get to know that the placement are availabe from 4th year and there is good chance to be placed if you are in it or ec bracnch student in igec college. Although there is no gaurentee that you will be placed.

Likes

Faculty is too friendly and easy to communicate...
Campus is eco-friendly and far away from the city.

Dislikes

Long distance from city. It's hard to travel in the summer
Lack of some facilities related to the sealed windows,fans etc

Placement Experience:

Some companies are vist our college for placement... Regarding to the it sector or sales companies... Their package is something around 2-3 lac per annum If you have the skills the the student of the electronics branch have the opportunity to attend the placement of it sector..

IGEC Life

The first thing about this college was that this is a Government College
And the second one i like was fee structure. Fees is very less so anyone who is from poor family can also take admission here.

Dislikes

The main thing i dislike was that there is no campus guarantee.
College does not has any canteen and it is so far from market place.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to persuin my career in the field of Cyber Security. that's why i choosen the course this course. But here teachers does not focus on coding so much. So if you are taking admission here make sure you are having a proper time schedule for yourself to do coding.

Faculties are good for teaching and extra opportunities
Teaching envoironment is good enough to solve your problems

Lack of infrastructures was in taken care of .
Labs were not as much desireable.as per now

Placement of this college is overall OK. If you can get the IT, ece branch you should easily get into well organized companies with good package. Overall avg package will be 3 to 4 lakh per annum . But this college have some good no of students from core branches like civil mechanical electrical that will selected in many gov exams like ssc pcs upsc etc

My brach is information technology. my college faculty is parmanent doing teach him and gave some work of any time. my branch student ratio is 76 strangth. My all fuculity is phd qualify in other university. My college all work is done to timely and gave exame to take in timely . So all student result is always passing in college.

Faculty is good and the ways of talking of principal sir is very good
Teachers way of explaining the concepts by the teachers

The college's paint and washrooms and management of college
There is no canteen because of students have to suffer.

Placement Experience:

In the 8th semester you will get a chance to give an interview in the placement chamber for good placements you should have some skills like you must have some knowledge about coding and Java, Python, and C++ as necessary. Almost 30 per cent of students have gotten placements in 2022-23.

Likes

The time you get to learn and explore new things. The seniors are supportive and awesome
You'll learn a lot from here. Remember to make good friends and just keep learning and don't sit idle.

Dislikes

Sometimes you'll feel down and that's when you'll hate this college.
There is really less competition and your zeal to improve may die so be self motivated.

Placement Experience:

Students start getting placed in the 7th semester which is in their last year. This year there were around 69 offers on campus and still counting and major students also sat for many off-campus opportunities. The highest package was 7.25 LPA in 2023 and the average ranges around 3-4 LPA and for IT it is around 5 L. The majority city of placements are the rom IT branch and almost 50% get placed and 20-30% prepare for further studies or government exams so they don't even sit in placements. I would be joining any company.

In semester 7 the students become eligible for campus placement. Some poor companies are visiting my college. There are no placements in my course. My plan after getting my degree is to give a government exam.
