Remarks :

Eligibility of the course was about 60 percent marks on Bachelors. The application was given on the Amity University website under the Admission portal. The application fees are about 1400 and admission fees are 59000 INR respectively. The admission process was done very smoothly but the details of documents to bring were a little vague so one needs to watch out for that and pay attention.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have heard a lot about Amity University, Mumbai, and how it's a hub for the subject of psychology. So I went around and looked for opinions and reviews and found out that they have an excellent infrastructure and course curriculum including many industrial and field visits. We have a total number of 16 faculties including visiting ones and about 105 students in our Masters 1st semester. Most of the senior faculties have completed their Ph.D. and others have completed either their M.Phill or have completed their masters and have experience teaching and working in different organizations and NGOs. The teachers are very friendly and they all have a unique and interactive way of teaching that makes the subjects seem more interesting. The term exams are supposed to be conducted very soon and as far as question papers go, it is very tough to pass and score good marks.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like JAGURATI REHABILITATION CENTRE, The Akansha Foundation, Brainwonders, and Mindsight Clinic all offer internships with stipends. Projects are given like Case studies, Testing and Assessment, Taking Case history, and helping the clinician from time to time.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placements from the last year only. A lot of companies like HP, Maximus, Lenovo, Tech Mahindra, VeryWellMind, and TCS come to our college on campus. About 90 percent of the students get placed in various companies. My plan after finishing my degree is to go for M.Phil in this particular field which is also available in this college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is normal when considering that this is a private college. First, they take 59,000 for admission. 44,000 is the semester fees and along with that, they take 15,000 as a security deposit. You can avail scholarship based on your 10+2 marks and graduation marks starting from 80%. The admission scholarship is applicable for the first year only and after that, you have to score a significant amount of marks to keep your scholarship. They have 100%, 80%, 50% and 25% scholarships available. You can also get financially assisted on campus via the admissions department. The availability of jobs is immense as many companies come every year to the campus and the highest package last year was around 50 LPA.

Campus Life :

They have an annual festival called AMINOVA and it is conducted in February. They have tonnes of books relevant to the subject of psychology and you can issue any two books at once. In the classroom, they have ACs, Plugpoints, and projectors along with whiteboards. They also have many sports like Volleyball, Football, Tennis, Table Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, and Archery like sports on campus. Extracurricular activities include Drama, Literature club, Gaming, Debates, and a lot more things. A famous group of Amity Mumbai Psychology department is IQAC. They host cultural events, activities, seminars, and a lot more.

Interview Experience :

They conducted a personal interview for everyone on a video call. They informed me about the time and date beforehand and then after I joined and introduced myself they asked informative, theoretical, and also concept-based questions about my graduation. I had to look over some necessary information and gave all the answers from my previously learned knowledge.

From third semester students are eligible for getting placements. Companies like Cairn India, SLB, Exonn, Halliburton etc come every year for placements. Highest package is around 24 lakhs and average is 13 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed is very less. After getting degree anyone can give competitive exams like gate for PSUs and GSI and if anybody is interested they can go for phds.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity is more of research based. They have dissertations for students at the end of of their academic year, and also provide mentors for the same. The syllabus is also not very vast and covers the most necessary topics.

The placements are actually very nice since if you study well, all of the students can be eligible for placements and there are various companies which visit on campus for hiring so there is always a chance of 100% placements here. The highest package goes upto 14 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Having a keen interest in mathematics I opted to persue my masters in it. The reason behind it was the vast demand of mathematics in todays growing world. Curriculum consists of computer knowledge which is been required today by many giant companies. The syllabus is moderate and difficulty level is high. After every 3 month in each sem, we have mid term exam and just a month later we are having End term exam. We are given sufficient time for preparations as well , so that students does not face any burden while studying.

Placement Experience:

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.
