Remarks
As of the latest information, Presidency University accepts the admission form of students who have passed 10+2 in 2022 and got at least 65% in the best 5 subjects in 12th. All the details related to the admission form, fees, and dates can be accessed at presiuniv.ac.in .Usually, the cutoffs are above 95%. There is PUBDET, the admission test but due to covid, the last 3 years the authority couldn't take the entrance but from 2023, the test will be taken. A good amount of preparation will be needed for the aspirants and the syllabus can be found on the official website. Reservations quotas (above 50% of total students) are there, for SC, ST, OBC and PWD in every category. The only improvement I want to see is the inclusion of students from previously passed/ drop year students. They should be allowed to fill up the forms.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because I loved literature from childhood, and I enjoyed the subject throughout my academic years. The Department of English at Presidency University is small, there are 11 profs (5 male and 6 female), and most of them are highly educated and hold P.hd degrees. Most of them are active members of different academic boards. 2 of the profs (Sumit Chakraborty and Shanta Dutta) are "Professor", and one (Purna Banerjee) is an "Associate Professor" and they have assisted many scholars in their P.hd courses as a guide. The faculty is very liberal and for UG-1/2 there are special tutorial classes that are held by them to provide them extra academic care and help. The teachers are mostly nice and they help academically, mentally and even financially. The internal and end semesters are very timely and they run according to the official academic calendar. The classes are regular and discipline is highly regulated. The question level is medium and one can easily pass if the student attends classes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of the courses is very low, provided the facilities and care a student receive here. 500 Rs is to be given per month, for all the tuition and tutorial classes. Govt scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Scheme, Kanyashree Prakalpa, and Student Credit card loans are given/ approved here. There is no convocation held on campus, no such in-campus placements happen usually in our department. Talking of financial assistance, bright minds are usually given all the care (Money, accommodation) by the faculty and the authority.
Campus Life
Different annual fests happen throughout the year like ISPAT canteen honours (for freshers in October), Icon (April), Milieu (May) and many more. There are numerous societies like Bichitrira(Literary), NSS, Chess, Badminton, Carrom, tennis, uno group and different competitions in these categories are held each year. There is the famous Arts library and Central library(for science) and a wide range of books, journals are available there. Libraries also have a pretty lit study area.
Other Applied Colleges

This college has lost it's glamour, free thinking space isn't there, as such. The NAAC ratings are low amd as many of my friends still study there, I know that classes are very taken irregularly taken here. The mode of teaching is mostly Bengali, so spea
