JEE Mains exams after class 12 or appearing. The cutoff for sitting in JEE Advanced is around 87-89 percentile. For admission in NIT, it requires 95percentile for the general category. For counseling registration, choice filling and locking JoSAA.

a recognized institution curriculum is light and tolerable. Metallurgy is the best core branch in NIT Jamshedpur. The faculty vs student ratio is around 3:23. Faculties are well educated from a recognised institutions, such as IITs, NITs, and some from foreign also. In one semester there is one midterm exam and one end sem exam.

The metallurgy branch may have few opportunities for a core internship. On-campus internship offers are limited, and few companies come for taking interns. But in the non core, you can apply for several off-campus offers.

Every year above 90 percent of students get placed. For the metallurgy branch, the max placement offer was 20 LPA. The average was around 8-9 LPA. The students not get placed had either chosen higher studies or got some PSU jobs. Very few didn't get placed.

The fee structure for the 1st sem is 116000 and next sem onwards it is 105000. There are several scholarships having criteria income margins, under 2lakhs or 3lakhs such as state Cummins, FFE, and Vidyasaarthi. Campus life is amazing if we remove infrastructure from it. Apart from that everything will be likable. You may get disappointed by the infrastructure because there is no gym and no SAC. Vacant spaces are abundant. Playgrounds are available, main building, new academic building, hostels, medical dispensary, TSG, VSG, badminton court, volleyball court, hockey ground, all other things are there. Many clubs are there in every field, coding, sports, culture like Rooh, BTBS, etc. Social, Technical.

Hostel facilities are amazing. In the first year for boys, you will get a dual accommodation room and in the second year, onwards a single accommodated room will be provided. For girls triple accommodation. Rooms have tiled floors, one cupboard, one table chair and bed, one fan, ethernet cable two socket boards.
