Remarks
For the eligibility for the course, we were to score a minimum cutoff in the IPMAT exam. Due to the Covid situation, the cutoff was low, but the interview process was good and it screened quite a few students. The application could be found on the website of Nirma and the information about all the courses and the form fee is put up on the site. Yes, I think the following improvements can be done the cutoff can be improved as well as the interview process can get quite rigorous too.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is holistic and focuses on the overall development of the students. It includes all the courses including art and culture and great books to keep students in sync with general and subjective knowledge. For a course, there are about 2 teachers in every trimester. All the teachers are here PhDs or assistant professors from top-notch universities. The exams are conducted every 3 months and they test your subjective and practical understanding of the subject so the level is moderate difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
There are various internship opportunities provided by my college. The first-year students are placed in NGOs and the second, and third students in the cooperates. They have to tie up with TATA, Jio, airtel, and all sorts of big companies. The projects are defined by the company itself but the basic parameter for completion of an internship is learning and getting on-field experience.
Placement Experience
Students in their MBA final year are eligible for the placement. They are in contact with big MNCs and national companies. The placements are fairly good. This year the highest placement was 38 Lakhs p.a. the average placement has been improving its about 8 lakh here. 100% of students get placed. My plans after getting the degree are to opt for college placement and work in cooperate world for a few years and then start my own business.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is to be paid in 2 installments of 130250 Rs for the integrated course in BBA+MBA. And they also take activity fees and book fees separately. If you opt for mess and hostel the charges are extra. For availing of a scholarship, it can be on a merit basis or the basis of the mean. There are also chances for a 100% scholarship.
Campus Life
The social life on the campus is quite good. They have various clubs and committees whose you can be a part of by going through a rigorous interview and filtering process. The campus is quite big and they have all sorts of sports and great books in the library. The classrooms are well furnished and well lit. There is good ventilation and ACs in classrooms.
Interview Experience
yes, I faced a personal interview for admission. The questions were on general knowledge, and the subjective knowledge of class 12th, and also based on one's interests and hobbies. I prepared for these rounds by revising my 12th course, and also keeping an update on news, and following current affairs closely.
