Remarks
If you are looking for a college with less fee and a very good legacy. You can join without having second thoughts
Entrance Preview
I took EAMCET for getting an admit into this college. I got about 6700 ranks out of 200000 people attending the exam. Took the college due to its low fee and glorious past
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum though designed in order to meet the standards set by IICHE remains very average. There are very few interesting subjects where there's a scope of imagination. Rest all are about memorizing and writing the exams . Focus on research depends much upon the individual. Electives are offered from the 2nd year until final year based on merit.
Internships Opportunities
College doesn't hold a process for getting internships for the students. While the professors do recommend students to the companies but it's quite informal. Most of the students do the summer internships though
Placement Experience
Coming to the Placement part. I was the part of the committee and things aren't green here. The core placements are very low about 10-15/60 get placed in core companies for salaries ranging 4-7 lakhs. About 25 people get selected for IT. Overall about 65-70% students get placed
College Events
Well, this is the fun part. The fest if not the best in Hyderabad is certainly amongst the best in university colleges. The technical fest is named Technomania whereas cultural festival changes every year. It's a 5 day event consisting of marathons, technical events, seminars, guest lectures, and a lots of cultural events in the evening . Turnout is pretty well and so it the budget
Fee Structure And Facilities
This is by far the best part about this college. The fee is 10k per year. Initially, you need to pay an amount of about 7k as a deposit. If you want to stay in hostel you pay another 7k deposit initially. The hostel n mess bill gets about 25k per year. So don't worry about the fees. The college is Very lenient about it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Most of the students get reimbursed by the state government for the fees so scholarship isn't a issue . Still there are a few scholarship provided by the Alumni based in merit.
Campus Life
The college is pretty chilled out with a good gender ratio. Initially it takes time to break the ice between boys and girls but once it happens there's no looking back. You'll have your life time fun over here. There might be a bit of ragging in first year but believe me it helps in bonding up with seniors (worked for me)
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are provided to everyone who's not a resident of Hyderabad. In first year you usually have to share it with 3 People. The same in 2nd year as well. 3rd n 4th year it's usually twin sharing or single if you're lucky. Infrastructure is basic and horrible in 1st 2 years. 3rd n 4th year hostels are still better . The best part about the hostel is high speed internet Lan connection. Mess food is pretty average
Alumni/Alumna
It being an old college the Alumni base is Very rich and expensive. Few famous people include Harsha Bhogle and Nagesh Kukunoor Several people are in the top chain of industries and they come handy.
Exam Structure
Exams aren't usually a very big deal if you've the proper resources to read and write the exams . Usually they last long enough and you get exhausted by the end of it. Labs are well equipped and so are the exams done well there. The results though are highly unpredictable and the bad part is you cannot question it. It being an autonomous college Don't dare put up a fight with faculty .
Admission
The process is very simple and it's taken care of by state government. You just need to follow newspapers. Counseling process gives you a chance to select colleges according to your rank. Once you get the rank start searching for the kind of course and college you would like to attend and fill up the same in the online counseling procedure. You'll be given the result and then document verification ensues.
Faculty
Well, the whole problem lies here. There are extremes in this field. There are some professors who are at the pinnacle of teaching and research Whereas some don't even know the very basic terms. This has to do with the recruitment policy of the govt since it's a govt institute
