Remarks

There was a common entrance exam conducted by the institution for admission into the RIEs. One should have a qualified intermediate examination to be eligible for B.Sc.-B.Ed. and B.A.- B.Ed courses. The application form is available on the official website of the Common Entrance Examination.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course provides one with relevant skills for the teaching profession. It also enriches one's understanding of Science or Arts background. It was indeed a great option in terms of its future prospects. the faculty members are very qualified, and some have even completed their studies or conducted research in foreign countries. Their teaching method varies as per the requirement of the lesson, they use adequate e-learning materials and interactive boards in the classroom. The semester exams are timely conducted and it's fairly easy to pass the examinations. Contractual teachers are regularly appointed for the smooth conduct of teaching-learning activities., which may sometimes become difficult to cope with. Despite this, the faculty is perfect.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities are provided in the JNVs, which are completely unpaid. The daily task of the interns includes taking classes, preparing lesson notes, lesson plan, and unit plans, designing assessment techniques, working with the heads of schools and the other teachers, taking part in cultural activities, etc. The overall outcome of the four-month internship is the gain of the skills required for the profession.

Placement Experience

4

After completion of the course, the students are eligible for campus placements. Every year students are notified about the vacancies in schools (generally four or five) after which they individually apply through the college. Final results are announced on the basis of the school's policy taking into consideration marks obtained by students, their performance in interviews, their CTET scores, etc. The package ranges from 20,000 to 30,000 per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

Keeping into mind the COVID pandemics, the fees (both academic and hostels) has been hiked. The college offers unpaid internships and scholarships are regularly provided to the deprived ones and also, meritorious students.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is well equipped with most sports like badminton, volleyball, table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball, cricket, etc, and annual competitions are conducted among the RIEs. The institute provides a magnificent library with the latest collection of journals, reference books, textbooks, fiction and non-fiction, research papers, etc. Every year cultural fests (in both college and hostels) and Hostels' annual nights are celebrated. The college students have developed a magazine on photography, article writing, etc. There is also an alumni association.

Hostel Facilities

4

Each hostel room is well-lighted, well-ventilated, and spacious. There are sufficient cupboards in each room, currently shared by three borders. The food is provided four times, breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. The quality of food is good and it is cooked in a hygienic condition. the meal consists of a variety of food items including local food and green leafy vegetables and seasonal vegetables. The same hostel is provided to the entire batch after the completion of the counseling process. Then, at the hostel rooms are allotted. The hostel fee is comparatively affordable and as it is located on the campus itself, it is the best option.

This college has 8 semesters. From the 7th semester students are eligible for placements. In 7th,8th semesters different schools come for taking teachers. Usually, RIE students get 1st preference in all JNVs and KVs. Jnvs amd kvs have good contact with RIEs. 400000 per anum is the average and the highest goes to 600000. Generally there is 100% placement but much students prefer pursuing higher course by doing Msc.
