Radhanath Institute of Advanced Studies in Education was established in 1869. The college is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). In 1923, after the establishment of the Cuttack Training College, the school was renamed secondary Training School which is now known as Radhanath Secondary Training School.

As per the Education Policy of 1913, the Cuttack Training College was established in 1923 to prepare teachers offering Licentiate in the Teaching (L.T.) course of one year duration. The minimum entry qualification for the course was graduation. The history of Radhanath Institute of Advanced studies in Education reveals that the oldest Teacher Education Institute of Orissa came as the Cuttack Normal School with the purpose of training the lower class pundits to man Primary schools as per the recommendations of Wood’s Dispatch of 1854 and Stanley’s Dispatch of 1859. The College began with two departments, namely, The Guru Training Department and The Pundit Training Department with separate staff for each.

The Educational Backbone

Campus life is not upto the mark . Very tiny area .
I don't like the infrastructure, it's not good for a more than 100 years old college.

I applied for this college because this is near to my place. This college take admission from a common exam all over ODISHA..B.ed entrance test . I got selected in 1st selection.then I got the admission. Simple process. Entrance exam is difficult

A journey from student to student teacher

Dislikes

They always try to make students work for official work. =!
Timing of classes not correctly scheduled, they can change a very important program , don't believe their words

Admission:

You have to give an entrance examination to get admission in this course. You must be a graduate in any recognised university. You will get application form from sams and the application fee was 500 from general , obc, sebs and 300 for sc ,st.The exam was of 100 marks and you will get 1:30 mins to complete hundred questions each carrying 1 mark. And there's also negative marking for wrong answer. For one wrong answer 0.25 mark will deduct from the secured mark. And yes u can qualify this examination with your Selfstudy. Because the examine is not that hard. But you should improve your knowledge about all the source , such as general knowledge, current affairs, your own course like if you are from arts background u should study history geography polity etc similarly for science physics chemistry biology mathematics etc. And also about education commission, committee, pedagogy. It's not that hard u can do it. Hope I touched every part of this review required. Thanks for having me????

Admission:

For pursuing B.ed course in Odisha, you must have bachelor's degree. The exam is conducted by odisha govt and all the information are available in samsodisha website. There is reservation for obc/sebc, sc,st,pwd students. There are some govt b.ed colleges as well as self financing b.ed colleges(more course fee tha govt b.ed college, approx 45k-50k per year). The entrance exam is conducted during mid year jun-july. You have to qualify the entrance exam and depeing upon cutoff and your mark you are able to tale admission in colleges.

Bitter-Sweet Experiences during B.Ed course

Likes

Learning atmosphere. Availability of library.
Extracurricular activities that are conducted time to time.

Dislikes

Lack of smart classes. Old infrastructure.
Too small campus. No playground of its own.

Admission:

I am a B.Ed student. Graduates of any discipline can apply for B.Ed. I applied through online process. There was an entrance exam. Different cut-offs for different categories as well as streams. Mine was Arts stream and I belonged to ST category. I was selected in the first selection. I secured 46 marks and the cut-off was 44. Selection process is good and fair in my opinion.

RNIASE: Building the Foundation of Education like no other

Extra curricular activities are encouraged.
Administration is quite good and smooth running.

Admission:

Candidates get admission into the college after clearing the State B.Ed entrance exam of Odisha. The entire process of filling up the form for the exam is done through the SAMS portal of Higher Education department of Odisha. Advertisement for the application is released through various newspapers and in the SAMS site itself which includes the entire timeline from beginning of application for the exam till the admission process. This exam is conducted once a year with the cut-offs ranging from 60 to 65 for Arts students while it's around 50 to 55 for the Science students. The admission process post qualifying the exam is completely offline and pretty smooth.

Technological adaptation is very low here.
Average infrastructure as per the institution brand name

Admission:

First of all, you will have to give state b.ed entrance test for getting into it. You will find the application form in sams b.ed portal. The fees for applying b.ed is 500 rupees. The application is generally opened in the end of april. This exam is easy to crack.. You just need to have basic idea over everything that mentioned in syllabus. There should be a help desk in the college campus for help in admission process.
