RIE: NOT A COLLEGE BUT AN EMOTION

The course provides you dual degree in the span of 4 years. Integrated B.sc b.ed enphasizes both on education and science equally. And after 4 years a stydent is double graduate. From normal colleges this two degrees will take 5 years but doing it integrated saves your one year. Being a proper educational institute the college provides you are internship of 3 months and the internship gives you new experience for the life. Student start getting exposure from from their college life itself and they are sent to JNVs to do their internship. The syllabus and curriculum is very updated and reading this syllabus you can prepare for any competitive exams from college itself. Exams are quite frequent and regular. In 6 months one semester exam occurs at time and difficulty level is from easy to morderate. But self study is quite important because sometime syllabus is not completed

Due to the education component in the course BSc-B.Ed the students are provided with regular internship opportunities. There is the provision of multicultural placement for 14 days and an internship for 3 3-month period in a variety of JNVs of all over India. This internship takes place in the 7th semester of the course. Even after that students are sent for working with the community in their 8th semester. Though the internship is unpaid but students get a variety of experiences and their first exposure with the students. Students learn how to function as a teacher. These 3 months become the most notable period of the whole course. BSc b.Ed emphasizes on educating the students on both science and in the field of education and makes the student prepared to be a TGT teacher from the college level itself.

RIE is basically a Teachers training institute. Students are eligible to sit in placement from 8 semesters of b.sc b.Ed. a variety of schools from different parts of India come to visit RIE in the season of placement. There is a provision of 100% placement. Students are placed in variety of schools in the region starting from West Bengal Chhattisgarh even in Pune. Though the package is not that attractive cause here the package maximum goes up to 4.2 lakhs per annum. That's why many students choose to go for higher education rather than for placement. But 100% placement is there. The average package is about 3.6 lakhs per annum, which is not that good. A huge part of students go for higher education rather than placement.

The base course fee is 14155 rupees. It includes a tuition fee of 5000 rupees. SC/ST students are exempted from paying tuition fees. If one takes a hostel then initially at admission time one has to pay 13520 and a refundable caution fee of 1100. The hostel fee includes mess fees of 2 months. In total during admission about 30k is needed if you want to take admission with a hostel. There is a provision of an NCERT scholarship. Ncert provides 800 rupees per month to the top 50% of general and OBC students and all SC/ST students. Also a student can apply for other government scholarships. Fees are quite affordable and staff are all very supportive.

Overall experience in the campus is quite good. Our college focuses on extracurricular activities and student's overall development starting from academics to extra curriculum. There is a name of the house provided to each batch. And yearly there is a variety of competitions like sports events, literary events, cultural events, and finally the annual day of college for prize distribution. Students are encouraged to participate in every competition held in the campus. And everybody I provided with fair opportunity. Also, every social gathering and special days are celebrated in college with full enthusiasm. Classes are spacious and well ventilated with the provision of smart board and many other digital equipments. The library is the best part of the institution the library has about more than 84000 books and journals. there is the provision of newspapers of every different languages like Bengali English Hindi Odia. The books are easily accessible in the library from 9 am to 8 pm every day.

our college RIE Bhubaneswar provides 100% of hostel accommodation to every student. Every student gets guaranted accommodation in the hostels. There is on total 5 hostels in the campus. Out of which three are signed for girls and other two are for boys. Room are quite spacious with three students in each room. Rooms are well ventilated and provided with beds chairs and tables and 2 almirah. One can decorate their room as per their wish. Per day the fees taken for mess is 85 rupees and the quality of food provided according to this price is quite good. There is provision of about 4 days non veg in a week and four time meal in a day. Hostels are quite affordable with 6000 establishment fees and rents per year. At the time of admission itself all the students are provided with the hostel.

I initially got admission to BHU in B.sc chemistry. BHU is definitely the dream of every Indian student. However, the lack of hostel accommodation and distance from home restrained me from taking admission. I choose a RIE over BHU because of the dual degree. In 4 years you will be eligible to become a TGT teacher in all schools all over India. RIE is a prestigious institution with a legacy that has continued for many years. It is also said that RIE is the factory of the teachers of India. Students are made the best future teachers in RIE To take admission in RIE students have to clear the exam named RIE CEE. The minimum eligibility criteria is a 50% mark in any combination like pcm or PCB from any government-recognized institution.

RIE provides you a very good ratio of student and professor of 30.1. And teachers are always available for the student's sake. If you have any doubts you can approach them anytime and they will solve your doubts. Principal Sir P.C. AGARWAL is the best and most down-to-earth professor I have ever seen. He always listens to the problems faced by students and addresses them. All the faculties are very much qualified with ph.D degree from renowned universities. Some faculties even have post docs from foreign. On total, there are 6 exams in a year. A year has 2 semesters and in each semester 2 internal exam is there. Internals are of 15 mark. An average of 2 internals is taken into account of semester results. The marking is quite good. Students can score good marks but studying is important

For taking admission into this prestigious institution students have to apply for RIE CEE examination. The pattern of exam is quite simple with reasoning questions teaching pedagogy and English. For the education component of this course students have to appear for teaching aptitude subject. The selection procedure is also dependent upon the score of the individual in their 12th boards. 60% marks is taken from the score of RIE CEE and the other 40% is taken from his or her boards marks. And then the merit list is prepared and students are called for counselling and that days itself students are provided the admission and accommodation and hostels.
