Remarks

College management changed a lot after we left so mine will be mostly outdated. College administration is good comes up with new engrossing techniques to restrict student or make them come in time. That used to be fun to break. Overall look for something better as it's a mediocre college if not roll up our sleeves and work hard.

Entrance Preview

CG PET and AIEEE ranks are considered as by most of the university colleges. Apart from that few seats are reserved for management which college allocates through internal counselling

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is decided by C.S.V.T.U. university and remains same for all colleges under its umbrella. It covers most of the standard subject of electronics and telecommunication as elsewhere. Few of the faculties of Antennae, mobile technology and communications where exceptional. Elective subjects depends on the college rather than on students. College depending on faculties availability selects subject from university and whole batch adheres to the same/

Internships Opportunities

Internship where provided for few specific organization such as BSNL, SAIL etc. I did mine once with SAIL and the other with BSNL. There were no stipend and experience was not that great. It's better to look for some private organization for internship.

Placement Experience

1

Poor placement and job opportunities. In my case got a placement from reliance telecom which later turned out to be dubious. College placement cell didn't help much. Apart from that Hexaware hired few candidates but number where less. Placement opportunities are almost none. Students are at there own hands.

College Events

2

One or two tech fests happened in our time. But overall college management lacks in supporting any events. Being a college run by missionaries money is not free flowing. No proper freshers day, farewells for the batches. If you are expecting those memories from college life you are surely going to miss those.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is same for all the colleges under C.S.V.T.U. It is not that expensive compared to other colleges but yes returns are less as placement is not guaranteed and other experience is not that excellent overall. There are better colleges in the university but CCET is also a decent place in compare to a whole lot of colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Only fee concession or scholarship one can get if he or she is one of the first five persons to book a seat in college. This remains same for all college in university so there is nothing special you are going to get here.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was great as we made it so. If any expectations are from college that will soon come crashing down. Extracurricular where on once choice such as sports team are really good but mostly hostlers play in that .Gender equality is same as in all engineering colleges but branch also plays a significant role.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I didn't stay in hostel but my hostel was very strict in terms of timings. Food quality is will not be the right person to comment. Timings for both girls and boys hostel where an issue. For girls outings where only of fixed days fortnightly apart from that it was like staying in a jail.

Alumni/Alumna

Not much as people don't remain in contact with college. People you have relationship with will give your greatest support. Few teachers will be there to give suggestions that are beneficial at times but other than that you are on your own.

Exam Structure

Two semester exams a year & lab exams are as per curriculum. College organizes weekly tests and internal labs to allocate marks. Process is transparent and students can get an idea of internal marks they are going to get. Most of the colleges don't have such transparent processes.

Admission

I got admission through counselling process of Chattissgarh government. Forms needs to be filled with respective ranks of PET or AIEEE online. Based on the ranks days get allocated for the counselling processes. On the day of counselling at respective office student need to go and select the seats from available colleges. After selection a specifc amount demand draft needs to be submitted in order to allocate the seat.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty use to be very goo when we initially started but with time lot of good professors left and faculties where replaced by rather young inexperienced teacher. But still there where quite a few exceptional teachers who helped students a lot. Lab faculties are also good in electronics branch but it really comes to ones own interest and ability to do well.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. It is important to note that a lot many students did not sit for campus placements as they had different career aspirations (government jobs, higher education, business ventures etc.) My plans were to prepare for upcoming competitive government exams as well as try my hand at something different and creative

1. Students from seventt semester and onwards are eligible for the campus placements. 2. There are ample numbers of comapnies visited in our college like schneider electric, bpcl, bhel, bhel, reliance, catterpillar, eil, and so on. As per the last year data around 130 comapnies made in to our campus and they offered around 800 plus offers to various studenst of different departments. 3. The highets package offered this year is 60 lakhs that is offered by DE Shaw and average package is something around 11 laks per annum 4. Taking considerations of students of all departments, almost 70 percent students get placed. 5. Presently my plan after getting degree is to get into a job.

Microtex, HCL, Wipro and many other IT companies gives us research projects and also their work as well. So, we basically have indirectly worked for them and the ones they feel can add more to their organization comes with a clear mind and take us with a package that we expect them to. So, placements are purely on performance as those who perform well are given best of placements.
