Remarks
The admission process is simple. The entrance examination is GATE. The form for which can be found online. The score card is valid for 3 years and one can fill the choices in the CCMT counseling process. And according to the cut-off marks and merit list, one can get admission from the choices one provided.
Course Curriculum Overview
Nanotechnology branch is in department of Physics.it is multidisciplinary branch. The course curriculum is very good and professors, faculties are excellent. They are very helpful and engage the classes regularly. The exams were held as mentioned in the academic calendar and were of good standard.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship at Solid State Physics Laboratory, DRDO, Delhi. The work was based on 2D materials and I got full laboratory exposure during the internship. No stipend was provided by the organization.
Placement Experience
The students for Mtech can sit for internships in the second year. The average package offered is 9Lpa. Most of the companies visited are software companies. Half of the students get placed. After m.tech one can opt for Ph.D.
Fees and Financial Aid
The M.Tech student's stipend is provided for 2 years or up to the completion of M.Tech, on regular basis (monthly). The amount is Rs 12,400. It is provided to the gate-qualified students. The campus placement offers internships as well as jobs.
Campus Life
Most of the regular classes for my batch took place online because of the COVID crisis. Therefore no fests were conducted in the 2-year period. Although when the classes resumed in the final year, students were called for lab work.
