Remarks
The admission process is quite efficient but the result for nchm exam could be declared early if possible as in many cases you have to make payment for IIHMs but if you don't, and you don't get your desired IHM. It will be disappointing
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as it provides a way into the hospitality sector. Faculty over there is quite experienced but there is a bit of back bitching. Term exams are quite easy if you are good at study. There are mid terms and end terms
Internships Opportunities
It is mandatory for each student to do internship in second year of the degree. This also provides practice for the final placements. Internship offers are made after proper selection process. All top 5 star rated hotels visit the campus.
Placement Experience
Students of 5th semester can sit for placements. The placement cell is quite impressive. Although placement process may get long and frustrating depending on the company. About 30 companies visit. Highest package being 19 lacs for 2.5 yrs. Avg package 3 lpa. About 70% students seeking placements are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee Structure of IHM pusa is quite vague according to me as being a govt. College, it should provide cheaper education but it is not the case. Also the fee is hiked at about 5-7% per annum. There isn't any scholarship to be particular. I got job at ABFRL with 4.75 lpa
Campus Life
You can visit their official website. There are many groups like vakta, kaladhar, asavari etc which are writing, drama, singing, art and many others. This provides a fun experience and edge over others as well.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is provided for the first year only. The facilities provided were gym and volleyball court. Indian seats only. No ac or cooler, only fans. The mess food is quite ok. You get non veg every Friday. Hostel is quite affordable.
