Remarks

The admission to OMC is based on the score obtained in NEET-UG. I took the neet exam and scored 619 marks. I choose Osmania medical college to pursue an MBBS. The Telangana state quota seat cut-off for the general category is around 600plus marks. There are benefits of reservation also there and different for different categories. Admission details: Tuition fees is 10000/-rupees per year.3lakhs bond will be taken in Rs.100 Stamp paper at the time of admission. Fees ,Application forms are given once we go to the college for enrolling. Application dates are sent to mobile number through sms by the college. Facilities: Library, hostels, gym,Auditorium,Laboratories, Hospital postings,Cafeteria Improvements I want to see in admission process are proper medical checkup should be done to the students who are enrolling as they are our future .

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because I want to serve the people and after I earn money I will help the poor. A new curriculum has been introduced by NMC which is Competency-based education. Omc had well-experienced doctors as faculty for all the departments as professors, associate prof., Asst. prof. and pgs Faculty are highly qualified as they are doctors. The teaching method is through ppts, small group discussions, tests, etc. There are three internals, one prefinal, and one final in course of every year of MBBS. Exams are conducted within a gap of 3-4months. If we study somewhat okay exams are quite easy to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 10000/ per year. It's not that high, or affordable. There are scholarships for SCs, OBCs, and STs like epass, and Sushrutha students get about more than 10000from these Scholarships. Once we get into the internship a stipend of 20-25k is given every month.

Campus Life

4

Fests like sports day, beats, and freshers day are held in the college. Beats is an annual fest that is held in omc. Almost all standard books are available in the library. there is also an e-library present. Marcopolo, Osmania medical college website, osmecon insta handle, JUDA, the voice of Osmania insta handle, etc are run by students. There is a big nice ground in the college football, cricket is played on it. Table tennis, Basketball, volleyball, Long tennis courts are present.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is PRETTY big. Its really big, actually. Sometimes its hard to handle, because of its bulk, some of it is relevant some of it is not, in the clinical applications but you have to study that to jncrease your knowledge, while the exams are focused on a few important topics out of the curriculum, thoee topics are meant to be focused on, more as they carry more clinical importance than the others.
