Remarks

First of all you have to clear jee mains to get into any nit. After that according to you category rank you will select colleges on the portal of jossa and you will get the colleges if your rank if up to the mark for the seat in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose ECE and nit jsr for their placement record. here faculty are well educated and many are the top scientists. a little bit tough schedule for B.Tech students. you get a good coding environment here.

you will get internships opportunities after 4th semester onwards and some companies visit to give the internships opportunities to the nit Jamshedpur students. you will get internships off campus also.

Placement Experience

Nit Jamshedpur placement is very good. This year in 2022, CSE and ECE 100 percent students placement, with average package 12 to 15 lakh per annum and highest package 72 lakh per annum. other branches placement are also good here.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships are available for the low income family and you will get scholarships. there will be no need for tension regarding fees. you can also get students loan easily. Ekalyan is the scholarship for Jharkhand and Bihar people.

Campus Life

Cultural fest called Culfest held every year also technical fest and sport fest called urja held every year. In library you will get the books for any competitive exams and other engineering books easily.

Hostel Facilities

In first year you will get room of accommodation of 2 people for boys and for girls its 3. in second year onwards you will get single room and for girls 2 accommodation in one room. mess food is okay okay.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
