For admission in this college you have to score good marks and secure decent rank in the jee main and then you can select the desired branch as per the cutoffs(you can get the cutoffs ranks by visiting the official josaa website).the college do provide seat reservation on the basis of category ,state and gender.

The course curriculum is same as it was 60years ago. There is no change in the curriculum and i think it is almost same as that in any reputed engineering college in india. Faculty here are highly qualified many lf them have done research in foreign universities as well some are also among 1%scientist in india. Many have also completed education from Top IITs and IISc. Exams are conducted in every fixed interval of about 2.5months in a general semester.

THE COLLEGE HAS TIES WITH COMPANIES AND PSUs like NHAI.thats why NHaI invites students of this college for internships. For internship companies offer decent stiped here. The students start preparing for these internships from the end of the 4th semester itself.

Students become eligible to sit for placements from 7th semester that is in 4th year. The hisgest placement offered this year was CTC 72.6lpa and the average placement of the whole college is 14.72lpa. The placements in the core branches are also great as the collge provides work experience and real life industrial experience as the collge is located in rhe city of industries(tatanagar). placements in this college can easily be compared to placements of the.ir reputed colleges

There is no fixed fee hike policy it can be increased anytime by the college whenever the college administration want. Financial aid or you can say tuition fee remission is provided to those students who either belong to SC/ST catergory or either if they have annual family income of less than 1lac (100% tuition fee remission) or 1lacto 5 lacs (2/3rd tuition fee remission).

The annual cultural fest held in this college is "Culfest" , the annual tech fest held here is "OjAss" and the annual sports fest held is called "URJA". The environment inside the library is very good and it has tons of books and journals to read . The classroom are fully air conditioned and are soundproof and equipped with mic and Projector screen and black and white board. Clubs are the heart of this college for example the music club of this college is "Team Rooh" , the dramatics club of this college is "Aahwan". And the dancing club is "BTBS aka "Beat breakers".

The hostels for freshers are decent and clean . Double sharing rooms are provided to the freshers but from 2nd year we stsrt getting single seater rooms. (Only NIT to provide single sharing rooms from 2nd year itself). Hostel and mess registration is done along with the college academic admission itself. The mess food again is decent in 1st year hostels but it improved significantly from second year as we move to the mega mess in second year.
