Remarks

Admission is through the Jee mains and then through Josaa counselling. There is the reservation of different caste such as obc, St, sc during admission. This college is fantastic in all senses. The application form for admission into this college is through Jee mains conducted every year by NTA

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is chill. I am from the civil engineering department. Every faculty is unique in themselves. Do not expect too much from any facilities. There are a total of 8 semesters for B.tech. In each semester there are 2 exams knowns as the mid-sem & final sem exams.

Internships Opportunities

There are a lot of internship opportunities in our college you can do a summer paid internship from a different good company. There is a major project in our 8 semesters where you can do well. So overall internship is better.

Placement Experience

Placement is increasing yearly. This year's placement percentage touches 95%. There are a lot of opportunities in our college. The highest placement is 75 lakhs average is 13 lakhs. Tata, Google, etc company visit every year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is good. There are fees remission based on your family income. Fees remission is only on your tuition fees not on hostel or mess charges. There is different scholarship also available. You can also avail loan

Campus Life

There is a better Library in our college. You will find a lot of books. The classroom is well furnished and ac is equipped. Sports facilities are better. There are a lot of clubs in our college where you can improve yourself.

Hostel Facilities

There is lot of facilities in our hostel. From bed,light bulb to fan etc. Meal is given 4 times in our mess. Mess good is better than other colleges. You can also avail a rented room outside the college

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
