Here you have to take admitted through an examination process known as JEE Mains, which is a national-level examination conducted by NTA. The application form and dates will be correctly available on the official website of NTA. The level of paper in all shifts must be the same.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Civil engineering because had an interest in it. Faculty: student ratio is not bad but should be increased. Faculties are good and their teaching method is also up to date Here we give three types of exams in the semester MIDSEM, VIVA and END SEM.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students are eligible from the 6th semester but mostly they take a placement in the 7th semester. Amazon, Microsoft, and Accenture are among the top companies giving high packages. In my branch Civil code companies like L&T, Exon Mobil, KEC, TATA, etc visit regularly. This year the highest package was 75 lakhs and the average was 14.5 lakhs. Overall placement this year was 96% I am planning for on-campus placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee Structure is 102000 for one semester including the hostel and mess fee. College gives fee remission on the basis of the financial income of the parents and full remission to SC, and ST students. For Gen and OBC if income is less than 1 lakh per annum then full remission is given if family income is between 1 to 5 lakh then two-thirds is given. College doesn't give scholarships. Students can avail it from other sources. From the 2nd year if you score very good then some companies give scholarship which is linked to the college.

Campus Life

The annual fest here is Cult-Fest. Tech fest is Ojass and other small fest includes Vidhan, Kalash, etc. A lot of books are available in the library approx 145000. Sports and extracurricular activities are great too but a good and well-equipped playground is needed. The clubs include Aahwan, Rooh, BTB, PCON, Faces, Invicta, Phoenix, Drift, Daksh, Rays, Ecoriders, Focus, etc

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
