Remarks

Cracking jee mains. You can get admission to this college. SC ST OBC seats are reserved for 27 % and the home state is also applied in the admission process. This college has a lot of infrastructure facilities so no more think over it.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because through Civil engineering I can get government job opportunities. Faculty: student ratio is very good in Nit Jamshedpur. They are very helpful to students. All faculty have done Ph.D. Every semester there are two exams - Midsem and Endsems.

A lot of companies come to our college for campus placements. Companies like Facebook, Amazon Google, and Goldman Sachs come to our college to provide the best possible package to non-core students, and since this college is situated in Jamshedpur so students have a lot of experience in actual work culture and environment in industries.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. A lot of companies visited and approx 830 offers made by the companies. The highest placement from the ECE branch is 76 LPA. The average placement of year 2k21 is 14.72 LPA. 91.6% of students get placement in year 2k21. My plans after the degree are to give the GATE exam and take the PSUs.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no price hike in Nit Jamshedpur as its tuition fees are decided by the central government. But the Hostel fee and mess fee is decided by the college itself. Fee structure:- 62500 tuition fee, Institute fees 25500, and mess fee is 16000. You can get Fee remission from college on the basis of Family Income. Full wavier in tuition fee if Family Income is below 1 lakhs. 2/3rd wavier in tuition fee if Family Income lies between 1lakhs to 5 lakhs.

Campus Life

Vidhan is the annual fest for Civil. Culfest is the annual fest for overall college. All books are available in the library. The classroom has a projector and a centralized Ac system. A lot of sports facility is available like Cricket, Badminton, Table tennis, and Football. A lot of clubs are run by the students like CES, Awahan, and Rooh.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
