N.I.T. Jamshedpur College Review

To be eligible to join this college you need to secure decent percentile in JEE Main exam and sit in josaa and csab counselling . the opening rank of this college is 1380AIR for Civil Engineering and closing rank is about 60 k for production and industrial engineering (general candidates). Reservation of seats is also provided to Girls,Other Backward Classes(OBCs),SCs ,Sts and PWDs.and reserved seats are also provided as per home state and other state quota. overall its a good college may rank about 5 to 6 among NITs if placements are concerned. thee hostel environment is very good the students are very competetive. the mess food is also decent if you compare it with other colleges of national importance. administration is very strict . so you have to follow all the rules and regulations strictly some demerits of this colleges are :- 1. lack of proper number canteens and Food courts inside the campus. and the even the old canteens provide food at high prices. ,no gym inside college.

generally mid semester exams are held 3 months after the semester starts and the end semester exams are held after 6 months of the starting of semester. respective professors may take individual tests if desired. many kf the faculty members are decently qualified . many have done their phds from iits and foreign universities

the highest package offered this year was 72lac to and ECE undergrad. the average placement of this college is also 14.72lac as per the lastest 2022 placement records. the average placement of CSE branch is about 26 lacs per annum. the palcements in core branches is also better than majority of other nits

the fee of this college is about one lac four thousands per semester. and the college administration may increase the fee if required any time throughout the year. if you have the annual income of about less than 1lac or they belong to Sc )St /pwd categories they will be provided 100% fee remission. and if annual income is lees than 5 laca then they will be provides 2/3rd fee remission.

Library contains good amount of books and foreign journals and reading environment is too good to study. sprots activites are limited to those who play for the college teams in intercollege fests. and others get almost no major thing to enjoy. clubs are really active and they are the heart of this college.

rooms are good and food also tastes okay. and the rooms are clean but in about 30% of the rooms LAN PORTS does not works. and you may face conmectivity issues inside the 1st year hostel building. and hostel and mess is pretty affordable.
