Remarks

I have also applied for ycce College Nagpur. But the cutoff there was a bit high and also the fees were more. I have not availed of any quota. The cutoff for my college was almost 40 %. If you are 12th Paas with science stream you could get admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course for be.Civil is the one prescribed by Rastra Sant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. There is one class for be.civil with 70 students. The faculty here is qualified and mostly are PhD holders. Term exams are tough but the faculty guidance helps to study and understand.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 5000 per year so the total fees for the course are 20000 rs. There is a nominal hike in the fees. Scholarships are provided for SC, ST, and OBC. There is also an EBC category for availing scholarships.

Campus Life

Campus life is good. We have a large campus with clean rooms. The students are disciplined and teachers give personal attention to the students. However times there's an issue regarding the availability of drinking water.

Placement Experience:

Honestly the placement is good in college but student's are not able to get that placement because they don't work on their skills . Then how could college place them although College does their best in placement. Almost 80% students get placement in our college .the highest package last year was 12.5 lakhs per annum. The average Package is almost about 3 lakhs per annum.

The Real Experience: Strengths and Shortcomings of PCCOE

Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated Training and Placement(T&P) cell and has regular recruitment drives that work to place students in companies where they will be values highly. Each year, 600-700 students are placed from all the branches. More than 300+ companies visit but the ones that hire are limited such as TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra which generally are mass recruiters that look for employees that will work for 3LPA or 4.5LPA. The highest packages go to about 30 to 40 LPA domestic and 61 LPA foreign but it is very rare to get a placement like this and requries considerable effort on the side of the student as well. Average package is 7 LPA for CS/IT branch; 5 LPA for electronics and telecommunications branch; 4 LPA for mechanical. My plan after getting the degree is working for 1-2 years while simultaneously pursuing masters.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placements from the seventh semester. Many Mass recruiters offer jobs to students in our college, some of them being- TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, ICICI Lombard and Capgemini Ai. The average package offered is a around 6LPA and usually the highest package is about 12LPA. Around 65-80% of the students get placed directly from college. I plan to pursue a career in my field after graduation.

You have to give any entrance exam that has been conducted by the state and also jee, because good percentile can lead to NITs too but the best college in Nagpur I would suggest YCC, Raisoni, GWCET, Priyadarshini, etc. The individual college has its website and can fill out the form based on your percentile they will decide your fees.
