Eligibility is just you should 12th pass through an authorized school. The application form will be found on jee main official website. Reservation benefits are taken by sc/st students. These category students have full tuition fee remission.

Course Curriculum Overview

As my interest in electronics is my favorite department in which we have lots of opportunities such as we can go for software companies as well. The faculties are nice and they all are well qualified. In the whole year, 4 times exams are conducted.

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Around 200+ students get internships out of 700. which is quite good. Summer internships are major in my college. Companies like Amazon meesho flipkart tata are giving internships. More about interns I don't know right now because I'm the first-year student.

Placement Experience

Placement is the best I have ever seen in NITs my branch average placement is 17.5LPA which is really very good. Companies are visited like Amazon, Flipkart, Adobe, Ola, meesho, and so on. This year's highest package is 70lpa. From my branch, 100% of students are placed this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general students around 800000 have to pay for the complete course of four years. For sc/st around 350000? have to pay for the same. NSP/State government/FEE/are the main scholarships. I got just my state government scholarship which is the UP scholarship.

Campus Life

Annual fests are URJA which is the sports fest. Lots of clubs are there like music clubs dance clubs and so on. Every sport is there you can get in and if play well then plays from the side of NIT Jamshedpur.

Hostel Facilities

For first-year, there is a single for two students and in this room, we get two separate beds, a common study table, a chair, a fan two separate Couboured, and the main thing is LAN connection in whole hostel rooms.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
